I always thought this restaurant was a hot dog restaurant because of the name so I was pleasantly surprised at the variety on their menu. The food was really good. The chicken shawarma salad was about $20 and it was delicious but could have been a bit bigger. Our waiter was JP and he was so amazing and attentive and able to comfortably handle our group of 12 people. We went on a Friday night so of course the restaurant was very lively so it is not a good space if people are sensitive to noise. There was plentiful parking and a lot of handicap spaces in front. I also really liked that with such a big group, we were able to pass around the device and pay for our meals and leave our tip one by one with ease.

We called to make a reservation and were told that we couldn’t make a reservation. We arrived and were told a wait time of 2.5 hours. We still waited. We were told when it was about 30 minutes to seating, when the time came—they changed the story and said it wasn’t ready and they had to wait for more tables to be available. Meanwhile they were taking several other large groups that the staff said placed a reservation. Thought reservations couldn’t be made?
Terrible customer service! Incredibly frustrating and rude.

I had visited the Lazy Dog in oak brook and loved it! So when my son asked where I wanted to go for mother's Day I suggested Lazy Dog in Naperville. We did not have a reservation so we knew we would have to wait. They said 30-40 minutes and we said yes. They took his number to message when the table was available. After 60 minutes I decided to inquire when we would be seated. The hostess said that they sent a message twice and no one responded. I explained my son had his phone in his HAND the entire time and he did not receive any messages. I asked if it meant we would need to wait another hour and she asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I said yes. Then she statrd she could seat us immediately. We accepted. When our waiter arrived about 10 minutes later he took out order immediately but never brought us water. I'm assuming it was because that was all I ordered to drink and my son ordered a beer. It took about 30 minutes for our food to arrive and it must have been sitting under the ligh because it was not very hot. He asked us if we needed condiments and I said ketchup. I needed to ask a second time because he forgot. All in all not a great experience! While I understand that it was a busy time the entire experience was very unpleasant. Made us rethink our decision.

Went to Lazy Dog in Naperville for dinner recently. Overall, the food was pretty good. I had the sea bass and my guest ordered the salmon — both were cooked well and flavorful. The drinks were definitely a highlight and the service was great from start to finish.
The biggest downside was how crowded it was and the parking situation was honestly terrible. If you go, definitely expect to plan extra time for parking, if on weekend.
Not a bad experience overall — decent meal, good atmosphere, and solid service.

We understand Mother’s Day is one of the busiest days for restaurants, but unfortunately it seemed like the Lazy Dog restaurant was not prepared for the rush at all.
Our first bite of food didn’t happen until nearly an hour after we arrived. The drinks were also completely messed up — my wife ordered the pomegranate juice but received something entirely different.
To make matters worse, my son ordered the Lemon Chicken, and it arrived flavorless and partially uncooked, which was extremely disappointing and concerning.
What was supposed to be a special Mother’s Day dinner turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience for our family.
