Once again I have to ask what is wrong with the young people of this world? I was doing my good citizen thing. As I was walking into the jewel across from Mariano's on 75th one of the employees came out and dumped a big bag of ice pretty much right outside the door. And I'm like oh my God somebody can go crashing down on that so I went and told the young bearded man behind the counter and he says that they have no other place to dump it. I was thinking to myself really? I said if somebody gets hurt that's going to be a lawsuit and he said well that's where we dump it. Omg!

HI hate the coupon system Jewel uses. I actually catch myself cursing it when a sign lures me🤨 in. I will only buy a few items I that I can't buy elsewhere. Like a friend of mine used to say "convenient store pricing".

Had the WILDEST experience ever ordering. Let’s get ready for story time.
I order groceries for delivery - like I always do because I’m lazy like that. The delivery driver calls me saying hey it’s saying I picked up the groceries but I didn’t. They are at the store. I’m like - no clue what to do there. So I call support. After discussing with support they said they will have the store send a new driver.
An hour later still nothing and app still shows the original driver is set to deliver (casually showing their location of their house since they are done for the day).
So I call the Jewel. Speak to the guy who manages the area. They Said “oh yeah your groceries are here. Let me get you a new driver. “
At this point - I’m like ok cool it’s taken care of or at the very least if there’s an issue they would call. Well 5this was my (fourth?) mistake of the evening thinking it will be taken care of.
Now I’m hungry. Annoyed. Maybe a little sad I’ve been bamboozled trying to get my food. So I go well let me call them again. Drats! the lady at customer service said the pick up and go is closed. So I ask for the Manager.
This is where it gets really good! If you think this day can get worse - Mike - the manager said “hold my beer” and stepped up the challenge.
Here’s what happened. Customer Service person (definitely nervous) said “manager said to just call in the mornin”. I’m like hey hold on I can talk to the manager. Nervously she alluded to the fact he will not talk to me. Strange I thought - I asked well hey can I just pick up my groceries. She had to go ask him if I could. Telephone tag by a manager?! Now that’s a new one.
I eventually asked if she can give me the managers name because if I was an owner of an establishment I definitely would never want a manager like this - to not help out employees for difficult situations such as this and then not even want to talk to the customer.
So Mike - hopefully this review is part of your exit interview but please actually try and help out your staff and just talk to a customer in the future. It may not be the most glamorous thing to do but it does go along way.
For the owner - if I ever do call again - and if by some miracle Mike takes a phone call - I’d still be disappointed.

Probably the worst experience I've had with Jewel cashier her name is Patricia.
Patricia is a rude human, she doesn't listen to what the customer is saying. I just wanted a price check on some reduced 4th of July merchandise. Instead she rang it up for me to purchase. Again I told her I never wanted it. Now I had some ad papers in my cart and she's asking me how many papers I have.
I told her it was ad papers. She still insisted how many ad papers I have. So I just gave them back to her. She is a very difficult person. I was asking how much she was charging me for some hot wheels cars and she never answered my question.
I'll never go to this location again.

I did not experience any customer service while in the Naperville Jewel store on Naper and 75th. The person who sliced my ham at the deli counter did not say hello. Handed me my ham and just stared at me. He did not ask if I wanted anything else, which I did. When he handed me my second sliced order he again just stared at me. He did not thank me or say have a good day. There is a picture on the customer side of the counter which shows how the meat looks sliced-- very thin, thin, sandwich slice etc. There seems to be a misconnect between what we are shown and the person slicing it. My further experiences in the store were equally as bland. I felt like I had accidently stepped in to Zombieland. I self checked and the young lady standing there just stared. No greeting, "have a nice day". Nothing. I work in a hospital and if I attended my patients this way, I would be fired. Ugh. please train your customer service people on common courtesies.
