  I have been extremely disappointed with the customer service at this pharmacy, particularly the maple Ave location I’d rather fox lake round lake beach grayslake and Wauconda locations for better service. Unfortunately, the experience has been consistently frustrating enough that I would not return to this location. There is a serious lack of communication. They do not consistently make courtesy calls when prescriptions need to be refilled, they don’t reliably notify you when a medication is unavailable, and important information often isn’t communicated through the app either. When something goes wrong, the response seems to be to blame the app rather than actually help the customer resolve the problem. One of my prescriptions had been unavailable for an entire month, and no one bothered to proactively tell me. I only found out because I followed up myself. I have also been told multiple times that my medication is on backorder, yet there has been little to no communication about when it might become available or what my options are in the meantime. What makes this even more frustrating is the attitude you receive when you ask for help. I understand that pharmacies are busy and that medication shortages and backorders are sometimes outside of the staff’s control. What is within their control is how they communicate with and treat the people standing in front of them. Being told, in a dismissive manner, essentially “I don’t know what you want me to do” is not customer service. Help the customer figure out what can be done. If the medication is unavailable, explain the options. If there is a problem with the prescription, explain what needs to happen. If another location may have it, offer to check. If there is genuinely nothing that can be done, communicate that respectfully. People aren’t picking up prescriptions for fun. When someone is trying to get a medication they depend on, the situation can already be stressful enough without feeling like the pharmacy staff is irritated that you even asked for help. I have had significantly better experiences at the Mundelein location, where the staff have been more helpful and professional. Unfortunately, my experiences at Maple Ave Location have left me feeling like basic courtesy, communication, and customer service are simply not priorities. Pharmacy issues happen. Backorders happen. App problems happen. What shouldn’t happen is leaving customers in the dark and then treating them like they’re inconveniencing you when they ask for answers. I hope management takes this feedback seriously because customers deserve better communication, better problem-solving, and, quite frankly, a much better attitude when they’re trying to obtain their medications.

  This is my favorite jewel osco in Illinois! I greatly appreciate the quick and easy pick up process from Ceecee. She made sure my order was accurate and carried with care and in a timely manner. I also greatly enjoy receiving customer service support from Nancy and Jeanne. Helpful and friendly attitude. Thank you jewel osco #3061 for consistency, quality and a smiling face when I visit

  The deli staff is consistently rude at this location. I've basically stopped getting lunchmeat here because they act like jerks every time. I decided to try one more time today and the guy was rude yet again. Negative tone of voice, scowled at me. This whole department has a culture problem.
