Giovanni and Sidney were super helpful and offered a great service. The food was incredible and I loved sitting on the patio. I will be back very soon!!!
This is not a bad review, just an honest review. This was our first time here and giving 4 stars for service because even though the drive through speaker was broken, the girl taking our order was very accommodating for an allergy and gave us her recommendations on what to order. She let us know they were already out of donuts by the time we got there, but no issue, we wanted to try their food.
However, the food we received was not to our liking. We ordered the breakfast burrito and the triple bypass scramble with a biscuit. The breakfast burrito had an overwhelming amount of cheese that made the overall texture of it very goopy and unappetizing. For the triple bypass, it had the same issue with the cheese where it was too melty that it ruined the texture, and we both really like cheese. In my opinion, the biscuit was not good at all. It was very dry and crumbly, and had little to no flavor. The eggs were also different than what I was expecting, as they had a stringy consistency, so this made me think they are liquid egg. Overall, we were not satisfied with the quality of the food, but the price point and service was fine.

My mouth was watering thinking about the VegHead sandwich. The food is always so good and plentiful. Thank you for the delivery!
This is not a "negative" review. Just honest. Very few options and the donuts looked like they may have been brought in. That's fine (if that is the case). Just not all that special.
Bathrooms - out of order.
Fountain soda - out of order.
It feels like this place was once a great shop, but maybe the original owner sold it and the new owner is still figuring things out?

Thought we would try the Mount Prospect Joes Donut. We often visit the Nile’s location and enjoy it every time. We should have known when we tried to get our coffee only to find the two canisters empty. After three attempts for new coffee we gave up. Ordered the regular sandwich, one with ham and one with bacon. As we waited for our food we noticed the owner/ cook with his apron on outside saying goodbye to his female friend. We were the only ones waiting for food. When it finally came, we were surprised at the color of the bacon as it was not fresh and the ham was so grilled it actually curled into a roll with black greasy stripes. The cheese wasn’t melted so it must have been an after thought. And the eggs yuck. We tried one bite and decided it wasn’t worth the terrible taste and put our napkins over both sandwiches. My husband asked for the manager who was a woman at the register now. He told her of our dissatisfaction and that we go to joes donuts all the time and never experienced this type of service or food. Her response was we’re not the same owners. Wow. Isn’t there a Joes donut standard of quality? She asked if we wanted something else and we said no thank you. No refund, no I’m sorry what can I do to make it better. Just, we’re different owners.
How sad. But the attitude of this establishment was evident in all aspects of our experience. A $36 hard lesson this morning. Go to Niles
