  Absolutely terrible experience. Do not waste We made a special trip to come to my favorite hometown restaurant, Giordano, and it was a terrible experience from the beginning. We were not greeted and our drink order was not taken for 20 minutes after we sat, despite the manager standing five feet away and playing on her phone while the one waiter was no where to be seen. Once out drink order was taken, and our order placed, we waited another 30 minutes for our appetizer, the bruschetta. It came out with no garnish (we had ordered it straight off the menu, no modifications), and bland and nasty. Once our remake came out, it was inconsistent and not at all as pictured. Our food has still not arrived, but when I asked to speak to the manager, she didn't let me finish a sentence, spoke over me, didn't try to understand the whole problem at all, and just said she could bring me out some basil for me to put my own garnish on. No, I would like our food made properly, and promptly, and as pictured. What a horrible experience, nothing like the typical giordanos quality, and nothing like we were hoping for, particularly with the giordanos price tag. The owner was on site, the waiter offered that I could talk to him, but he refused. He sent his manager, who did not listen, did not help, was unprofessional, and did not fix it. Update: It has been an hour and fifteen minutes since we sat down and we still have not received our food. The restaurant is empty with the exception of two other four person tables, all of which have their food. I think the kitchen MUST be doing this intentionally. Super disappointing. Definitely not good for families (we have two under 5 who are having a difficult time understanding why our food won't come out). What a mess.

  By far one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had 😭 We got sat at our table and were not handed menus. They came up and asked what we wanted to drink but we had no options to look at. Our thin crust pizza we ordered was not thin crust. I ordered Lasagna and the waitress proceeded to ask a bunch of surrounding tables if they ordered the lasagna before finally bringing it to me, without silverware or napkins. When they brought the hot and fresh pizza out they did not provide a spatula. When I approached the staff in the front asking for one they said they didn’t have any and were unsure what we could do, implying to use our hands (keep in mind this pizza is super hot). They told us their dishwasher was “not working tonight” and therefore they didn’t have any dishes. When they finally brought us a spatula it was still wet and not cleaned very well. The plates on our table had some grime on them as well. They also had their AC blowing very high, leaving us shivering at the table, and they turned off the AC and it got hot. Not trying to be picky but there should be a happy medium when it’s 73° outside. I wouldn’t recommend dining in here as the staff don’t seem to understand what their job is.

  I ordered carry-out and picked up a 16" pizza with sausage and pepperoni with extra cheese. I should have immediately returned to the store after getting it home but was tired and didn't want the bother. The pizza was way overdone and burnt edges and bottom -- and if this was extra cheese, I'd hate to see what the regular cheese would be. Giordano's has been an iconic, excellent Chicago pizza for years - but this was absolutely awful and the main franchise should be made aware of the horrible quality at this location. Obviously, I will not be back.

  Very disappointed! We got there at 5pm and there were only 3 other tables of customers when we entered. We were seated quickly but after that it went downhill. It took 18 minutes for our server to even come ask if we were ready. Then she walked away! More than 5 minutes later we had to go to the front of the restaurant to ask if someone was going to come help us. Once we did finally order it took another 10 minutes to get our drinks and 47 minutes before our 10" pizza arrived at the table. The hostess dropped it off and left immediately. Thats when we noticed that all of the plates on the table were dirty and we had no cutlery to eat with. Again, we tried to flag down a server to help us but after several more minutes we had to go to the counter at the front to ask for help. The pizza itself was ok but the service really soured our experience. We weren’t the only ones either. We saw three other tables get frustrated and have to go to the front to pay their bill or get something they needed to eat. We only saw three young staff trying to juggle the whole front of house by themselves. They definitely need more help if they want to keep their customers happy. We drove 10 hours to get authentic Chicago deep dish like we had years ago in the city. We were really let down by this experience.
