- BSBecky S1 day ago5.0I always have a great experience at Jewel in Lockport. The prices are right especially if you have the app and clip your coupons. Lots of things are cheaper than Walmart. Most produce is cheaper than Aldi also if you clip your Jewel coupons. And you can’t just buy one lemon or one onion at Aldi. You have to buy a whole bag. Jewel has things individually available. My visit today was great. I found some great deals including 49 cent dozen eggs. My cashier was Judy, and she was very pleasant, friendly and helpful with the app. She rang me up AND bagged my stuff wonderfully. Thank you, Judy.

I am writing this to warn fellow shoppers to triple-check every expiration date before you leave this store or accept a delivery. The quality control at this Jewel location has become absolutely horrendous. In a recent order, I received cranberry juice that had expired an entire month ago. There is simply no reason for items that old to still be on the shelves, let alone included in a customer’s order. I’ve had recurring issues with the mobile shopping service here: Expired/Short-Dated Items: Despite leaving clear notes to select the latest dates, I’ve been given dairy products expiring within 24 hours and, most recently, the month-old juice. Inaccurate Inventory: The app frequently lists items as "unavailable," yet they are fully stocked on the shelves when you walk in that same day. Lack of Oversight: It is clear that the system for stocking and fulfilling orders is failing to catch basic date errors. It is incredibly frustrating to pay for the convenience of a service only to have to drive back to the store to return expired goods. Save yourself the headache and the gas money—inspect every label yourself, because the inventory management at this location is not reliable.
