  Tried this place for the first time yesterday on a road trip to IL. I can say we had the most tender ribs, crisp fried okra (lightly battered) and a refreshing coleslaw with just the right dressing. The atmosphere is pleasant with music playing and they also have an outdoor area for sunny warm days? I wish they had a location closer to St. Louis so I can visit them more often.

  cynthia was great. very efficient, kind and professional. the brisket… oh so tender… only a spoon needed… the pulled pork was so delicious! the tallow fried okra was so tasty! the baked beans had pulled pork in it. the green beans had bacon. the banana pudding is homemade - no pudding mix here! we will definitely return. (love’s truck stop is right across the street).

  Awesome place! Everything we tried was delicious. We ordered half a chicken and a half rack of ribs (6 bones) to share between two people, and it was more than enough. The prices were a pleasant surprise, especially for the quality and portions. Great atmosphere and genuinely friendly staff. Really enjoyed this place and hope they continue to do well!

  Soooo good! We were on a road trip and saw this place. So glad we stopped. The food was amazing. I had the pork barbecue bowl -it was great AND gluten free. My husband had the ribs and chicken wings. We both felt it was the best barbecue place we have visited.

  A BBQ joint worth the stop. We got the 3 meat plate with baked beans and coleslaw. Beans awesome! We had brisket,pulled pork, and wife’s favorite turkey, great flavor and tender. They even had a few of their own sauces that were pretty dang tasty. Defiantly worth a return visit when in the area.
