I initially chose this Buffalo Wild Wings GO over another location because it had good ratings. In my past experience, BWW GO locations can sometimes be iffy when it comes to food quality and customer service. Well… unfortunately, that choice backfired.
When I arrived, I was greeted by a very nice young lady who seemed to be running things up front. She told me my order would be ready around 4:40, about 15 minutes after I arrived. I had no problem with that—I have patience, to a point.
Shortly afterward, I noticed she clocked out and left for the day, leaving what appeared to be 2–3 younger employees in the back with one older employee. As the minutes went by, more customers started coming in and waiting for their orders. People kept asking when their food would be ready and seemed to keep getting told another 15 minutes.
While I was waiting, I also noticed the younger employees were going back and forth between working and being on their phones. To their credit, they were nice and respectful toward customers, but I found the phone use unprofessional and, more importantly, unsanitary in a food-service environment. One employee even walked up to greet a customer while still holding his phone. We carry our phones everywhere throughout the day, so constantly handling them while working around food just doesn’t sit right with me. Think about all the bacteria and germs our phones pick up throughout the day—some people literally take their phones into the bathroom and use them. Nasty.
After about 17–18 minutes, I went back to the counter and asked about my order. I was told it would be another three minutes. About five minutes later, I finally received my food.
The most frustrating part came when I got home and realized they forgot my ranch. I understand ranch might seem like a small thing, but when you’re ordering hotter wings, it’s part of the meal for a lot of people. Of course, I didn’t have any ranch at home, so I ended up having to make another trip to the grocery store five minutes away just to get some before I could enjoy my wings.
As far as the food quality, I’m not going to judge the wings too harshly because I ordered them to go and had to drive home. Obviously, they’re not going to have the exact same heat, freshness, or quality as eating them immediately. The wings seemed pretty average to me, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt on that.
However, I also tried the new fries they’re currently advertising, and I received two nasty-looking clumps of fries that were basically all stuck together. For something that’s being advertised as a new menu item, that was definitely disappointing. See attached picture.
Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and will be my first and last visit to this Hardwood Heights location. Between the wait, employees being on their phones around food, the questionable fries, and then getting all the way home only to discover they forgot my ranch, I really wish I would’ve saved my $20+ and gone somewhere else altogether.

The spicy chicken wings were absolutely top notch! 🔥🍗 Crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The garlic sauce was seriously amazing — creamy, garlicky, and had the perfect kick with the spicy wings. 🤤🔥
One thing I would like to mention: my friend ordered a chicken wrap, but unfortunately, the order wasn’t properly taken/charged, and the wrap was missing from our bag. We didn’t realize it until we opened the bag at home, which was about a 30-minute drive away. We had already shared the rest of the food by then.
Please make sure orders are clearly confirmed and checked before handing them to customers. The food was really good, but please take a little extra care with customer orders so things like this don’t happen. 🙏
Overall, the wings and garlic sauce were excellent, and I’d definitely come back again! 🔥🍗
