  My girlfriend and I have not been to a rainforest cafe before. On a random night outing to Gurnee Mills we decided to explore the mall and at around 7:50 pm ended up near the cafe. We asked what time they close and it looked like the mall was wrapping things up. We decided to make a whole day out of the event and book reservations for the next day as the place seemed to be absolutely buzzing, and the atmosphere looked awesome. Boy did we make the right call. We got seated with our server Colleen. Genuinely, I do not think a server could’ve left a better impression, and I have seen it all working in service all my life. I think rainforest cafe is a magical place and the gurnee mills location truly exemplifies that. I really hope this restaurant stays here for the foreseeable future, I plan on coming here for big events with the kind’ve awesome service and experience we received. My girlfriend and I are huge animal fans, and I we both strongly agree that their retail section has some amazing merchandise, & she is a graphic designer for a huge plushy company! If you come here I highly recommend being in the section with Colleen, & to you rainforest cafe corporate, you need to give this lady a damn raise, she is holding it down for you guys here at this location. (Also the price for everything was incredibly reasonable for the actually really high quality food we received. We thought it’d be novelty food that was gonna be acceptable at best, but it was actually really really good and affordable as well + portioned very generously!)

  We had such a wonderful dining experience while celebrating our grandson’s 7th birthday! 🎉🎂 Gia, our server, truly made the afternoon unforgettable with her warm personality, enthusiasm, and incredible energy. ✨ Her thoughtful hospitality was appreciated by all the adults, while her genuine friendliness made the kids feel especially happy and welcome. 😊 Gia went above and beyond to make the celebration extra special, and we are so grateful for her kindness and attention. 💕 Highly recommend!

  Service was HORRIBLE! We had a reservation and the party before us didn’t leave, so even though the restaurant was half empty, we couldn’t sit down. Food time was super slow, which we understand because we have a big group, but not once were we checked on to see if we needed anything while we waited. When our food did come, we asked the person who brought it if we could have some more napkins and her reply was, “Ask your waitress.” It was just such a disappointing experience for my daughter’s birthday.

  It’s been a very long time that EVERYTHING was GREAT at a restaurant. I Highly recommend bringing your family whether it’s adults or children ! Ask for Jaicia/jay she’s fabulous; attentive ; likable , super friendly . All the staff is . Compared to the last 5 years : this is my BEST outing in a restaurant..PROBABLY EVER . Also , PARTY OF 7 and all of us LOVED EVERY MEAL

  Vanessa was absolutely phenomenal and on top of everything despite the crazy amount of people that seemed to be dining in today. The food and drinks were amazing as well but certainly on the more pricey side from what I remember in the past. For one pasta dish, two drink and a dessert my total alone was just shy of $70. An 18% gratuity tip was automatically applied to the bill most likely due to my group being eight people which is by all means more than understandable but the overall price for my meal alone is beyond wild! The price alone definitely would be my deterrent from going back anytime soon but the experience was still great nonetheless!
