Extremely Unprofessional, Rude, and Unsanitary Customer Service – October 13, 2026, at Approximately 10:06 AM
I visited this McDonald’s location through the drive through this morning, October 13, 2026, at approximately 10:06 AM, and experienced some of the most unprofessional, disrespectful, and concerning customer service I have encountered.
The manager working at the drive through window had extremely long, visibly dirty nails annd a face full of colorful flaky makeup and proceeded to reach for my debit card. I politely wanted to tap my card myself, as I was uncomfortable handing it over given the condition and appearance of her nails. Instead of handling my concern professionally, she immediately developed an attitude and told me the scanner does not move. I have been visiting this McDonald’s for the past couple of years and have had other employees bring the scanner to the window so customers can pay themselves. Therefore, I know there have been instances where this accommodation was possible.
When I explained my discomfort, her response was essentially, “Well, I don’t know what to tell you. ” She then proceeded to take other customers’ orders while leaving me sitting at the window. Eventually, she rudely told me to get out and walk around if I wanted to pay for my order myself. Her eye rolling, under the breath comments, and overall dismissive attitude were completely unacceptable, especially coming from someone in a management position.
What made the experience even more uncomfortable was watching her speak to coworkers in Spanish after our interaction. I cannot say for certain what was said, but when I arrived at the next window, the employee initially appeared willing to accommodate my request. After the manager spoke to her, however, the employee changed her response and told me I had to come inside.
I went inside as instructed, only to witness my food being passed around from person to person. At that point, I honestly no longer felt comfortable eating my meal. Between the manager’s visibly dirty nails, the way my concerns were handled, and what I witnessed inside, the entire experience left me questioning the standards of cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service at this location.
Management should be setting the example, not contributing to the problem. Employees handling food and payment cards should maintain appropriate hygiene and follow proper food-safety practices. Long, visibly dirty nails are especially concerning in a food service environment, where cleanliness and sanitation should be priorities. Customers should also be able to raise reasonable concerns without being met with hostility, disrespect, or retaliation.
I have every intention of contacting McDonald’s corporate to report this incident and request that it be addressed appropriately. I hope this location takes these concerns seriously, reviews the circumstances surrounding this interaction, and provides the necessary guidance or corrective action.
To the manager involved Please learn how to communicate respectfully with customers, conduct yourself professionally, and understand the responsibility that comes with being a manager in the food service industry. Your attitude and behavior this morning were unacceptable, and customers should not have to experience this treatment simply for expressing a concern about hygiene and wanting to pay for their own order
I have visited this location for years, but after this experience, I am extremely disappointed and hesitant to return, Customer service, professionalism, and food safety should never be optional.

I probably drove past a half dozen other McDonald’s on the way to this one, and wish I had stopped at any other one of those (or any other restaurant for that matter). It was easily 90 degrees inside the restaurant. The only tables that had any shade were either soaked from the person wiping them down with a wet rag and not drying them off, or surrounded by flies. The touch screen kiosk was not showing images and was operating on a delay so every time you pushed something it wasn’t really clear if it was actually doing anything. The guy who delivered my order brought a McCafé drink I definitely did not order or did not intend to order (thank you broken kiosk) rather than the fountain drink I actually wanted and, given the chance to make it right, he just argued with me until I gave up and throw out the frappe and went without a beverage. It would cost nothing in effort or money to just say yeah, our machine is messed up let me go get you an empty cup so you can get yourself a drink that’s cheaper than the one we charged you extra for even though you didn’t want it. Instead I got no, this is what your receipt says, take it and like it because obviously you forgot what you ordered. The food was just okay. The burgers were fine, the nuggets and fries would have been “room temperature” in a normal, not 90-degree room.
McDonald’s remains the undisputed titan of global fast food, delivering unmatched convenience and comfort. The core appeal lies in its absolute consistency. Whether you order a Big Mac in New York or Tokyo, the signature flavor profile remains identical. The world-famous french fries, when served hot and fresh, set the industry standard with their perfect balance of a crispy exterior and fluffy interior.
In recent years, the legendary fast-food brand has successfully modernized its entire customer experience. The integration of sleek digital self-service kiosks and a highly rewarding mobile app has streamlined ordering, making daily pit stops faster than ever before. However, this aggressive push toward automation occasionally creates a sterile dining atmosphere, reducing friendly human interaction to a mere number call.
While the digital upgrades are impressive, the menu faces growing criticism regarding real value. Recent price hikes have noticeably eroded the classic dollar-menu appeal, pushing costs closer to casual sit-down dining options. Additionally, order accuracy during peak drive-thru hours can still be hit-or-miss. Despite these rising costs and occasional service hiccups, McDonald's retains its immense cultural dominance worldwide. It survives not as a gourmet destination, but as a reliable, nostalgic powerhouse that masterfully satisfies immediate food cravings on the go every single day.
