Waited over 15minutes for a cheeseburger and fries. Blizzards was all melted due to the long wait. They pulled my car for drive through. After 15minutes I went inside for my food, was just sitting in the warmer already bagged.

Freeport’s Dairy Queen is a reminder that enthusiasm still counts for something. The staff here doesn’t just take your order — they seem genuinely happy to be slinging cones and Blizzards, and it shows. The cake freezer is stacked like they’re preparing for a dessert‑themed apocalypse, which is honestly delightful. Yes, the interior could use a refresh. It’s got that “we’ve been doing this since the Clinton administration” aesthetic. But the food comes out hot, fresh, and exactly as advertised. The real standout: they make a Georgia Mud Fudge Blizzard the way it used to be made — fully loaded, unapologetically rich, and without the modern trend of rationing mix‑ins like they’re precious metals. It’s worth the stop for that alone.
