They sold outdoor plants right in front of the store's entrance, BUT have refused to honor a return or exchange on plants dying in less than 2 to 3 weeks. We have spoken to the stores manager who seems to not be aware that these plants are considered part of the stores "Floral" department and should be placed under the same scrutiny as the plants that are sold inside the store. This according to Jewels own return policy listed clealry on their corporate website page.

Shame on this Jewel Food Store for selling us $100 dollars worth of dead Hibiscuss plants. They died less than 2 weeks after purchase. The bank said we shoud take them to small clains court, but that would cost more than the plants. Jewel know this so they continue to sell worthless plants outside that entrance door. I also was told by a lot of peope that those plants are part of inside the store floral Department YET they won;t honor an exchange, or a refund once these outdoor plants are purchased, NEVER buying anything they sell outdoors again,

Since my review got deleted, I am reposting and removing a star.
My mother and I visited this Jewel and had a terrible experience. My mother prefers this location because it is usually well-stocked, organized, and clean. We were there to select flowers for a memorial service next week for her husband, who passed away last weekend.
I want to start by recognizing the Floral Department and Bakery Department. Both were wonderful. The florist was incredibly helpful and kind, and the bakery staff were equally compassionate and pleasant.
Unfortunately, our checkout experience was one of the worst either of us has ever had in a grocery store. Before it was even our turn, I noticed the cashier was providing poor customer service to the gentleman ahead of us when he questioned the price of his milk. When it became our turn, we experienced the same treatment.
My mother suffers from dementia and other health issues that prevent her from shopping independently. Every outing she is able to enjoy is something we truly appreciate. The florist had created a tag for our floral purchase, and my mother held it up for cashier to scan. After scanning it, my mother placed the tag back on the bag. At that point, cashier responded with an annoyed "Oh, okay," in a tone that suggested my mother had somehow inconvenienced her, then mumbled something under her breath.
As she continued scanning our items, I noticed that our strawberries had not rung up at the advertised sale price. I had already clipped the coupon in my app and showed her that I had done so. Despite this, I was repeatedly told that I needed to clip the coupon. While trying to resolve the issue, cashier audibly huffed and puffed about adjusting the price.
I am grateful I was there, because had my mother been shopping alone, she likely would not have received the sale price. While a couple of dollars may not seem significant to some people, it absolutely matters to seniors and others living on fixed incomes. There is a reason Illinois lawmakers have recently addressed concerns about digital-only coupons and the barriers they create for seniors and individuals who may not have access to or comfort with technology.
When cashier called for a manager, the interaction did not improve. The manager repeatedly asked whether I had clipped the coupon, despite me showing proof that I had. Eventually, I responded that I could only clip the coupon one time. The manager also audibly sighed while approving the adjustment. Throughout the interaction, cashier continued muttering comments under her breath such as "Well, okay then" and "Ugh."
What made this especially frustrating was that the customer ahead of us had received a price adjustment on milk within seconds, with no manager required and no repeated questioning.
By the time we reached the car, my mother was nearly in tears. All she wanted to do was pick out flowers for her late husband, and instead she left feeling embarrassed and disrespected over a few dollars.
It did not surprise me when she told me on the drive home that while she likes this Jewel location, she dreads ending up in that cashier's checkout lane because she has felt on previous visits that she has also been treated poorly.
I understand that everyone has difficult days, but customers deserve to be treated with courtesy and respect, especially seniors who may already face challenges navigating the store. The kindness shown by your floral and bakery staff made a difficult week a little easier. Unfortunately, the behavior we experienced at checkout completely overshadowed that positive experience.
Sincerely,
A customer with more than 40 years of experience in customer service and retail who understands the difference that kindness, professionalism, and respect can make in someone's day, and who knows that every customer deserves to be treated with dignity, especially during one of the most difficult weeks of their life.

The customer service is very poor and unhelpful. Most of the time, the counter is empty, and you have to wait for a long time. The curbside pickup service, where you wait in your car for the online order you placed, is also extremely bad. You may end up waiting for an hour or even longer.
