- HCH CJun 21, 20261.0For the first time ever, I can honestly say I was disappointed by a Five Guys. In hindsight, getting out of the car and being greeted by a used needle in the parking lot may have been the restaurant’s way of foreshadowing the meal. Once inside, things didn’t exactly rebound. The greeting was extremely late, the staff seemed inattentive, and the whole experience had that strange “huh…well, this is different” feeling you get when a place you usually trust suddenly forgets how to be itself. We ordered a little hamburger combo, a hamburger, and a water. The clerk handed me a clear plastic water cup only slightly larger than the ketchup containers, which was another “huh” moment, but we paid and moved on. I grabbed some peanuts and found a table. The peanuts were stale and soft, which is impressive in the wrong direction. Five Guys peanuts are usually part of the charm. These had the texture of regret. Then our number was called. Her burger was fine. Mine, however, was supposed to be a double patty. What I received was more like a patty and a half. I’m still wondering what happened to the rest of it. Maybe it’s like the dryer at home, where sooner or later a sock magically vanishes. Apparently this time, the dryer got hungry and went after my hamburger. I’ve always liked Five Guys, which is why this stood out. This visit was just off from the parking lot to the peanuts to the burger.

What sets them apart is their commitment to fresh ingredients .. you can really taste the difference. The burgers are always made to order, the fries are generous. But what really made our visit special was the crew at this location ..the customer service was above and beyond! The team was friendly, energetic, and genuinely made us feel welcome. It’s rare to find a fast food spot where the staff brings that kind of positive energy. Highly recommend!

The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
