  My family and I went to brunch on Mother’s Day. The service and food were terrible. Our hostess tried her best but the quality and taste of the food gave this rating a 1 and not 0. It took 1.5 hours for us to get our food. 8/9 of my party finished our food before the 9th person received her food only because we inquired about the missing meal not because our hostess made sure we all had our meals. The greens were dry, no water and overly salty as if a gallon of salt was put in it. In order for me to enjoy them I had to pour my cold ice water on them. Lamb chops salty. Chicken wings not done. Mac n cheese was the best thing about the experience. 0/10 do not recommend. Close for renovation and re evaluate the experience. Although we voiced concerned about our food to the hostess no manager came to the table. No compensation offered. No discount given. Management trash!

  We made a reservation weeks in advance, so naturally we did not expect any issues upon arrival. Unfortunately, when we got there, the security guard informed us that the restaurant was no longer taking customers due to a staff shortage and the kitchen being behind. What made the situation more frustrating was that no one contacted us beforehand, despite us having a reservation. Especially on Mother’s Day, customers should have been informed ahead of time instead of wasting time and gas driving to the restaurant. While trying to figure out what was going on, one of the chefs happened to walk back into the restaurant and explained that they had around 600 reservations that day. I asked if we could at least be seated and order cocktails, and thankfully the chef accommodated us, which I genuinely appreciated. After being seated, we waited about 20 minutes before a waitress came over to take our order. I personally only ordered cocktails because I did not want to spend more time waiting on food. However, several people in my party did order meals, and the experience only got worse from there. The shrimp and grits were extremely bland, and despite asking three different waiters for Cajun sauce, it never arrived. To make matters worse, our waitress initially stated that the meal would not be removed from the bill and seemed very firm about it. After we requested to speak with a manager, the meal was eventually taken off, but the only thing offered to make up for the situation was a complimentary shot. Honestly, that did not feel like genuine customer service. It came across more like, “Here is some alcohol and move on,” instead of actually addressing the poor experience. I have visited this restaurant several times before and never had an issue, which is why this experience was so disappointing. From the facetious attitude of the security guard, to the lack of communication, to the poor service throughout the visit, the entire experience was unacceptable, especially on Mother’s Day. Sadly, this visit solidified that I will not be returning.

  The Drinks Were Amazing. Me And My Friends Were Very Drunk Off The Margarita Flights. The Food? Terrible. Disgusting. i Ordered As You Can See “Peach Cobbler French Toast, Scrambled Eggs, Seasoned Potatoes & Lamb Chops..” Lets Start With My Potatoes.. They Were Dry As CRAP and NO seasoning At all Watsoever… I Was Complaining And The Owner Gon Say “You Put Salt And Pepper On Them” No Baby You Was Supposed To Actually Season My Food. The Peach Cobbler French Toast Was Disgusting. Dry As Well And Absolutely No Moisture In The Bread… The Eggs?? Tasted Like Nothing But Baby Powder. How Do U Make Eggs Taste Like That? The Lamb Was Very Soft But Had Very To Little Flavor But I Ate The Lamb. Everything Else I Hated And Didnt Touch.

  We decided to dine here for Mother’s Day my family and I for brunch. This was the absolute worst experience. 12:00 pm reservation sat at 12:30 ordered 4 apps and drinks right away. We received the drinks after 45 mins 1 by 1. We had a party of 7. 1 appetizer made it to the table 2.5 hours later. No silverware plates after almost 3 hours and we were still short 3 appetizers. We asked to cancel the food because we received excuse after excuse about the kitchen. We saw other tables get their food and leave while still waiting on our appetizers for 3 hours. No accommodations or accountability from management. We were told we had to pay for our drinks..fine…took another 20 to get the tab. 170 dollar later we waiting 3 hours to get 1 app no food and subpar drinks. You couldn’t pay me to go back! Also also there’s a damn fight going on outside on Western and the servers were outside watching while we were still waiting three hours for apps. Wouldn’t send my worst enemy here. I was actually so embarrassed that I brought my mother and my family said this establishment looking to support that backfired in my face.

  My father and I brought my mother here for Mother's Day today. It was the most disappointing experience ever!!! We had a 10:30am reservation. We were seated but then waited 2 hours to get our food and drinks. By 11:45am we finally received our Mimosa flights which were luke warm. My father received his meal first and it was half cold. My mother and just sat there. We literally watch other customers around us get their food. Some had came in with us and after us and received their food. At that point were ready to leave. My father told the manager to cancel our orders because it should not take two hours to receive food. The manager went to kitchen, came back and said our order wasn't even ready and he would take it off the bill. Then moments later my mother's food came but my mine wasn't nowhere near ready. By this time we are very irritated and ready to leave. As we were getting ready to leave; my food shows up and the server just slammed it on the table. I told the manager they should not charge us for anything but he refused to do that. He changed for us my our drinks, that we hadn't finished; and my parents food. This was a awful way to start off our mother's day. The manager cared less about the crappie service we received. Mind you; we drove all they way from the Western suburbs to come here and support a black establishment. We will NEVER COME BACK!!! This place was a complete waste of time and will I advise everyone NOT to come here.
