  During the the day, everyone is friendly and lovely. I was very happy forMang years. but now it seems like the overnight team is treating me quite strangely. it started with one person but now its spreading. Wich is more than inconvient sine my whole family's medication is there plus thd kosher foods. Its like im gonma have to do all my shoping before , 10pm, so I dont get trrated subhumanly. ( i have disabilities and often get yelled at). Il do my best to avoid overnight self checkout . Getting scholderd oit sll the time just doesent seem nesasary. Thsnks

  I normally shop at this Jewel, my husband and I are handicap and I am in a wheelchair with a chronic illness so I typically do a drive up and go order. We had not bought anything for a couple of months so yesterday was a big order to restock the food. None of the meat was on sale so it was actually more expensive than normal (over $500). We got the order and drove home and my husband brought everything in right away. We started putting everything away and noticed a smell coming from the bag with the two family packs of chicken. I assumed it just had some bad chicken juice on the package but when we opened it, the entire house smelled with rancid chicken. We had to immediately throw away two big packs of chicken and then checked the dates of the other meat and there was a ground pork that was dated the day before and another pack of chicken that was dated the same date. We didn’t trust it at this point. I called immediately to talk to a manager but was told the drive up and go didn’t have one and they would leave a note for Courtney to call me in the morning. When I got the call the next morning I was told that they gave me everything “in good order” and I was supposed to have saved the bad chicken and bring it in to prove that it was bad. If that is their policy it should have been told to me when I called. She said that they left the message which i guess they were supposed to do but I was supposed to keep the chicken overnight and being it in the next day. Which is stupid bc my house was stinking from the chicken and if I waited until the next day they would have claimed that I purposely kept it out of the fridge!! Who does that?? I can see if I was demanding a refund on the whole order but I just wanted those meats that I paid full price for to either be refunded or replaced. They only refunded me for 2 of the 4 packages. I would have brought all of the smelly meat to them yesterday if that is what they told me but I followed their instructions. I’ll be looking for another jewel.

  Last time I was there I bought an item on special. It didn't ring up as the sale price. I explained to the associate and she corrected it. I appreciated that.

  Horrible customer service I bought an item that was already open, and when I tried to return it to tell him it was open they would not take it because it was open.

  Last time shopping at Jewel today. Shopped for 20 mins, stood in line for 40 mins. Cashier lines are terrible, and the stores seem poorly managed. Have shopped for years at the Jewel on Howard, and today at the Jewel on Skokie Blvd. Same thing. Something needs to change.
