  Owner is very knowledgeable. But I don't trust his advice. I've been here 3 times and decided after the third time not to go back. He's too pushy. He tries too hard to get you to buy supplements. That's his priority, not your health. He even went as far as to say Soursop is "tasty, really good," just to get me to buy the very expensive bottle. It is horrible tasting, maybe the worst tasting thing I've ever tasted. But I wouldn't have cared if it's as affective as the research suggests. But I don't want to be lied to. He even said it was his last 2 bottles. But it has been on the shelf every time I'm there. I would also be wary of the produce. It just doesnt look fresh, and his prices are definitely high. I'd do anything not to shop at Besos' Whole Foods. Supporting a local, small business is always my priority. But this one isnt it.

  Lots of good products & friendly service, I really want to shop here, but but also lots of expired products. Apparantly owner doesn’t understand or care about food safety so I cannot shop here. Today is June, 2026: I failed to check & bought a product that expired in 2022. Almost 4 YEARS past its freshness date. I opened the box, it smelled off & musty, checked the date, 4 years old, clearly frozen & thawed & refrozen, very dangerous & gross. Disrespectful to customers.

  Open blade box cutter sitting on protein bars. Customer could easily cut themselves. Said hello when I walked in. No response. Shopped and went to check out. Stood at counter a long time while a guy helped another customer without once looking my way or saying anything or saying hi. I left empty handed. I will go to Whole Foods for same stuff. This is a horrible store. Needs new owners. This is not my first time at this store.

  Ever since I started making gluten-free bread myself, I buy most of my ingredients here since you can buy them in small, loose-weight quantities, so you don’t have tons of bags with starches/flours/baking sodas etc. cramming the cupboards. I also like that they have the Earth Balance soy-free variety of the vegan butter, since that one is hard to find in supermarkets. And I buy loose-weight jasmine tea here too. Now I’ve discovered that the owner makes and sells his own samosas here every day — both regular and gluten-free — and they taste fantastic and are very reasonably priced ($2.29 each + tax). They come with the two classic red and green Indian sauces. That’s a great deal.
