  All the floors around the freezer sections were leaking water all over the floors. Nobody seemed to care because they wouldn’t turn on the store air conditioner. So they were all leaking condensation. Just waiting for someone to slip and fall

  I stopped at this jewel. It was on my home west of Elburn IL. I like to say, this is the worst jewel/ grocery store I had been in. The atmosphere sucked, the temperature was too cold. So cold , the glass doors of coolers had condensation.when I complained. The associate said I don’t know and laughed. This store conditions reflects bad management/ or bad manager.

  Maybe don’t have a Starbucks that’s supposed to be open till 8. If workers don’t want to make coffee past 7:30…

  I genuinely do not like to leave bad reviews, especially when I’ve never had a negative interpersonal experience. But I have to say something about food safety. I rely mostly on pick-up orders, as it’s just easier with a toddler. I love the convenience and truly appreciation the work that everyone does behind the scenes. However, I have consistently discovered items in our orders that are far past their best-by/use-by dates. I know there is always some wiggle room with those dates, but I’ve received things that are months beyond what’s printed and/or visibly no good. I’ve had bloated packages – a sure sign of spoiling. I’ve had moldy produce. I’ve had months-old creamer. Most recently, I bought snack cheeses for my kid and didn’t realize until later, after she kept refusing to eat them, that the use-by date was January. Why am I looking at a January date on anything at all in May/June? Now, let me say that I know how incredibly wasteful grocery stores inherently are for the sake of keeping fresh things in stock. I hate to say something to contribute to such a disheartening environmental and social situation. But bringing home safe food is important. I will be checking every single item as I unpack bags going forward, so that I can see and report issues immediately. Two stars because at least everyone I’ve encountered has been nice.

  My family and I have been coming here since they opened and have never had a bad experience until now. Recently, I had a very poor interaction with the manager, Kim. I was extremely shocked to see and hear a manager behave the way she does. In the future, I will be making a further drive to a different bakery!
