My biggest takeaway is that Five Guys seems to believe bigger automatically means better. The burgers are large, the fries come in huge portions, and you definitely won’t leave hungry. That said, size isn’t everything. For me, the weakest part of the burger is the bun. A great burger starts with a great bun, especially when it’s lightly toasted, and Five Guys just misses the mark here. The beef is decent, but the flavor never really stands out or leaves me wanting another bite. Considering the price, I expect more. I would rank Five Guys behind In-N-Out, Shake Shack, and Whataburger without hesitation. I’d even put Steak ’n Shake and Red Robin ahead of it based on flavor alone. If you’re looking for a massive serving of fries and a filling meal, Five Guys delivers. But if you’re looking for the best-tasting burger, I think there are several better options for less money. For me, it’s simply average, and not worth the premium price.

Extremely skimpy on the amount of fries I received. That definitely has changed compared to the past. They were greasy (more so than normal & some weren’t even cooked all the way through. Nothing like biting into a hard french fry. Didn’t really pay attention to the price, but thought my meal seemed a little on the high side. When I went and rang in my order on the website for pick up, it was $4 dollars less than what I was charged.

I have to drive about a 25 min to pick up, fueled by fresh 🍟 on the return - the pickup tax. Trying new burger joints can be disappointing. Five Guys delivers each time consistently, no matter what town you find yourself in. Chamber of Commerce should be proactive and put a map to the local Five Guys under the Welcome sign. I like the in-store articles describing a phenomenon - I haven't ever found anyone who didn't like Five Guys and it's quick to settle those in-car arguments over cuisine that plagued the late 70's early 80's: "Where do you want to eat?" apparently driving aimlessly.
