  For my first time I was pleased. My salad was prepared exactly how requested and was balanced it wasn't a pile of lettuce with minimal toppings. I had a Polish sausage that as good reminded me of the fair, a little messy but hey was a little mustard between friends. I would do it again. This was a take out order.

  This place is all hype. However the Chicago and chili dogs were delicious. Perso Bros and Luke's had better service and better Italian beef sandwiches. The lady barely even looked up to give me condiments and napkins.

  Had the worst Italian beef ever here. Really disappointing. Had a gift card for a free entree and I still think I paid way too much for how terrible it was. Cold and nasty taste. Portillos Downers Grove do better. Stop tarnishing the Portillo‘s name.

  In this please does not existe customer service. The manager she spoke to me as if I were his employee, and she forgets that I am a customer.There was no one at the cash register to take orders or direct customers. This is the first and last time I will set foot in this place. En este lugar no hay servicio al cliente. No había nadie atendiendo para poder tomar una orden. Trate de hacer la orden yo mismo cuando salió una mujer diciendo ser la manager quien me habló de forma grosera. Se le olvida que yo soy un cliente y no su empleado. Esta fue la primera y única vez que pongo un pie en este lugar. Que situación más desagradable. No recomiendo Portillos acá no conocen que es el servicio al cliente. No pierdan su tiempo acá.

  Shoutout Rosa my favorite employee! Rosa has, according to her, worked at Portillos every Tuesday for the last 5 years. Serendipitously, I have been going to this Portillos location after 11pm on my way home from work almost every Tuesday since December. I have ordered an Italian beef every time, but we did not have the fortune of meeting until tonight. Per my usual Tuesday accordance as of late, I finished up at work and stopped at Downers Grove Portillos on the way home. Pulled up into the drive thru and ordered an Italian beef. Thankfully Rosa was there tonight to inform me that they don’t serve Italian beef’s after 11. Odd? I’ve always ordered them after 11? I explained to Rosa that I had been ordering them every Tuesday after 11 for multiple months now and that this was quite unusual. Rather than apologizing and suggesting another dish, maybe just be honest and explain that they didn’t want to make the Italian beef and would rather make something else so close to close. Rosa decided instead to take the time to not apologize that my experience tonight was different, but rather to inform me that she had in fact worked every Tuesday for the last 5 years and thus must know better than me that they don’t serve them after 11. I guess my bank statements full of Italian beef’s after 11pm and I must be liars. Or Rosa just might not really know what’s going on when she’s working Tuesdays. Either way, I’m not upset that she wouldn’t serve the Italian beef so late. I worked 4 years at a Chicago Hot Dog stand serving Italian beef’s so I get it, but don’t call your customers liars and make them feel bad for just wanting to order food. It’s not my fault you don’t want to work your job to close. Not even one apology or suggestion for another dish was used. Thanks for calling the cops on me for order an Italian beef when you didn’t want to do you job Rosa! Just another reminder to eat at Culver’s next time. Too bad they aren’t open so late. They have such friendly service every time no matter which state I’m in.
