  I grew up on Home of the Hoagy, so I was excited to try this place since it’s in my area and would save me a trip into the city when I’m craving a good hoagy. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The sandwich barely had any meat, the bread was hard, and even though I asked for extra oil, it was still dry. Mid at best. I really wanted to love this place, but it definitely missed the mark for me. Not good in my opinion.

  Tried Fitchy for the 1st time because I didn't feel like driving to Mel's California Hogies. Fitchy's is skimpy with meat. Mel's actually taste way better and not skimpy with the meat.

  I had a great experience at Home of the Hoagie in Country Club Hills! The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. The portions were good, and everything was prepared just right. The staff was friendly and provided great customer service. I’ll definitely be back and would recommend Home of the Hoagie to anyone looking for a good, satisfying meal!

  I’ve tried this place three different times, several months apart. I wanted to give it multiple tries before leaving a review. After going three times, I can say with certainty that the food is HORRIBLE! The sweet “steak” meat tasted like a super low quality ground beef. Also, the meat was EXTREMELY BLAND and it tasted like I was eating an elementary school cafeteria sloppy joe. I took two bites and threw the sandwich in the trash. Multiple other people got sandwiches as well, and they all agreed that the meat tasted bland and low quality. The fries were super soggy, greasy/slimy and also very bland. Also went in the trash. The service was quick, my order was ready within 15 minutes. The prices were reasonable. But I would much rather drive 30 minutes out of my way and wait however long I have to wait for the real Home of the Hoagy. This place doesn’t even compare. I would not go back.
