  I recently visited Viaggio Restaurant Chicago and had a wonderful experience enjoying Italian cuisine in a stylish and welcoming setting. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere that makes it a great choice for a date night, family dinner, or evening with friends. The menu offers a variety of classic Italian dishes with plenty of creative touches throughout. I tried one of their pasta dishes, and it was delicious with perfectly cooked pasta and a rich, flavorful sauce. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the seasoning was balanced without overpowering the main flavors. I also enjoyed the appetizers, which were beautifully presented and made for a great start to the meal. The portions were generous and satisfying, making the overall dining experience feel worthwhile. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They provided helpful recommendations and made sure everything was served at a comfortable pace. The restaurant had a lively but comfortable atmosphere that made it easy to relax during the meal. I appreciated the combination of traditional Italian flavors and modern presentation. The service was professional while still feeling warm and personal. The prices were reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes. I left very satisfied with both the food and the hospitality. I would definitely return to Viaggio Restaurant Chicago and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable Italian dining experience.

  I’m so disappointed that we chose Viaggio for our sixth anniversary dinner. We were so looking forward to celebrating here after hearing rave reviews about this place, but between the service, the quality of the food, and our overall experience, I don’t think I will ever go back. The food wasn’t anything to write home about - I’ve honestly made better pasta from scratch at home. They took over 30 minutes to get us our cocktails, completely forgot our appetizer, and took nearly an hour to get us our entrees (with minimal communication). They initially offered free dessert to make up for it (and they knew about my dairy allergy) and nothing on their dessert menu is dairy free. So, they comped our drinks and 86ed the appetizer (as they should, because we never received it) and charged us full price for our entrees. As someone who has worked in the hospitality and food service industry, I ask that Viaggio do better moving forward. As a patron who was excited for a good dining experience to celebrate a special occasion, I am very disappointed and regretful that we chose this establishment.

  My wife and I were very disappointed with our anniversary dinner at Viaggio. They had forgotten our appetizer, and took longer than what a busy restaurant should have taken in terms of placing orders. There was little to no communication for any delays. While I do appreciate rectifying their mistakes by compensating us for drinks, these mistakes were inexcusable.

  Viaggio has been wonderful every time I’ve visited but our last dinner they hosted our large group for a post-wedding celebration and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how it went. The food was delicious! They even split portions of our eggplant for sharing ease at the long table. The old school Italian vibes combined with the great care our server and all the staff gave us made our dinner that much more special. Whether you’re stopping by before a Blackhawk’s game or just having one of their awesome martinis at the bar, Viaggio’s is one West Loop staple we always come back to.
