  Hello, I called yesterday around 11:30 a.m. regarding our reservation for July 25, 2026, which was originally scheduled for 1:30 p.m. I was placed on hold for approximately 36 minutes, and unfortunately, no one ever returned to the line. I was surprised to learn that our reservation had been changed to 2:30 p.m. without anyone contacting us beforehand. While I understand that scheduling adjustments may occasionally be necessary, changing a customer’s reservation without first communicating with them is both discourteous and unprofessional. This reservation is for a very important occasion for my wife and me, and the original 1:30 p.m. time is essential to our plans. Reservations should not be changed unilaterally, especially when they may involve significant personal celebrations or time-sensitive commitments. I respectfully request that our reservation be restored to 1:30 p.m. as originally confirmed. Additionally, I ask that someone contact myself or wife as soon as possible so we can resolve this matter promptly. I appreciate your immediate attention to this issue and look forward to hearing from you soon. Reservation is for William Alexander party of 5. Thank you.

  first, food was amazing. I made reservations for four people at 1:45 PM. We ordered our food around 2 PM and didn’t get our food until 3:15. We waited over an hour and at the very end we kindly told our server that we knew the delay wasn’t her fault, but we needed some sort of compensation for the long wait even though we had already made a reservation for a set time. She only told us that we could be given free shots which I feel like is not appropriate or remediated the situation. There were multiple birthday sign celebrations with multiple staff coming out for other people and felt like that was more of a priority than getting customers their food. they need to prioritize getting cooks for the kitchen to match the demand. the 4 of us also ordered 2 of the same exact menu item, nothing else. They handled this situation poorly even though the food was good despite small portions for the price. the automatic gratuity was unfair because their service was not good. it also did not prompt staff to worry about getting our food in a timely manner because they would get tipped regardless. would not recommend this location, definitely go to the other one. i’m attaching a picture of my meal which was a $40 plate with very small portions, the price did not match the portions of food/sides at all. the “corn muffin” was the size of a little bite in the package. it was an ok experience but even if you make a reservation, be prepared to not get served til an hour later or get any type of solution for the inconvenience. i did not expect to be there for 3 hours just for a sunday brunch.

  First time visiting Chicago and had lunch there. I had the fried fish with two sides (Mac and cheese, and collard greens), and jumbo. The fish was very good as well as the Mac and cheese. The collard greens were okay, but being I'm from North Carolina, I could be a little biased. The jumbo was also pretty good. Our waitress was very nice, especially after noticing we had been waiting for over 15 minutes for someone to serve us once we were seated. Overall nice experience and would visit again.

  My first time at the River North location, and let me tell you... the vibes were EVERYTHING! 😮‍💨 From the moment we walked in, the energy was on point. Our server, Bre, was absolutely phenomenal—super personable, attentive, and just beautiful inside and out. She made us feel so welcomed and took amazing care of us. Huge shoutout to the manager, Carol, too! I loved seeing her making her rounds, checking on everyone, and making sure every guest was having a great experience. That level of hospitality definitely didn't go unnoticed. Now... the real highlight of my visit was the food runner—I think his name was Willis (don't quote me on that 😂). But listen... when y'all come, don't be checking for him! Mind your business, enjoy your food, and soak up the vibes. 🤭 Overall, this was an amazing first experience, and I already know I'll be back. Great food, great service, and even better energy. 10/10!

  I stopped by Toast It IZ for Taco Tuesday and had a great experience! We came for the Taco Tuesday special and weren’t disappointed. The deal includes three tacos and a margarita for just $15, making it an easy choice for a fun night out. We also tried the chargrilled oysters - super good! The tacos were good too and we especially enjoyed trying both the steak and chicken options. The margaritas paired perfectly with the meal, and the atmosphere made it a great place to relax with friends. If you’re looking for a spot with good food, great drink specials, and a lively vibe, Toast It IZ is definitely worth checking out. I’ll definitely be back for another Taco Tuesday and those oyster specials during the week!
