  This place is NOT for everyone. Caters to a young adult, early careerist crowd. Went on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate a relatives bday. Very busy and "day party" atmosphere. I wanted to really like this place, to be honest I couldn't get past the extremely loud music which made it difficult for conversations, even communication with the wait staff appeared challenging. People were literally yelling to talk to each other. The decor is quite nice. Soft gray, tan, gold and pink hues really provide a nice setting. The wait staff was courteous and helpful with menu selections. Food arrived in a timely manner. Had fried green tomatoes which were not quite ready for picking. They were a little tough. I had the veggie omelet which was well seasoned and plentiful. Other members in the party had strawberry pancakes with bacon, eggs and potatoes. Waffles and catfish (fried a little hard for my liking) Again portions were plentiful and tasty. The bill comes and an automatic 20% gratuity AND 3% credit card fee...come on!! $117 for 3 breakfast/brunch meals. To be honest the music made it hard to enjoy the meal and experience. I got home and wondered what I had eaten. Everyone has their preferences. This is just not one of mine. I enjoyed the food, it wasnt memorable but had flavor and the vibe was not for me and would not recommend bringing anyone under 18. Bread: food is tasty, portions pretty good Ambience: modern club chic Price$$. Maybe the Evergreen Park location is different. Those interested should check it out

  I was really excited to try this place for brunch, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We made a reservation for 12:30 PM on a Saturday for a party of seven. When we arrived, there was a line outside the door to check in. Once checked in, we were asked to stand to the side and wait for our table.While waiting, we asked two different employees for updates. One told us she would check but never returned. The second employee told us a table was being cleared and that we would be seated next. However, we waited over an hour past our reservation time, and still weren’t seated or provide an estimated time for our wait. We also noticed that several guests who had been seated either before we arrived or while we were waiting still had not received their food or drinks. At that point, we decided to leave. I completely understand that brunch on a Saturday can be busy, but there is no reason guests with a reservation should be left waiting for over an hour without clear communication or an estimated wait time. If the restaurant is unable to accommodate larger reservations at the scheduled time, that should be communicated or maybe incorporate time limits on tables. Unfortunately, this experience did not live up to what we were looking forward to.

  **Our server, Diamond was amazing!!*** HOWEVER.... As someone whose visited both locations in Chicago I can confidently say ownership needs to actively and profoundly consider highering more cooks at both locations. While the wait staff was doing its best to be upbeat and helpful, nothing could make up for the 1.75 hrs wait time for our food to START coming out. First, we had a reservation. We were seating around 12:45-12:50 as a party of 8. Drink orders were placed ~15-20 minutes in and food about 30-40 minutes in. Our food did not come out till 2:30. Deserts came out first, appetizers coming out after main portions served, sides came out 10 minutes before entrees. Whole food service was a complete mess. Considering 20% gratuity is AUTOMATIC no matter table size, this was beyond disappointing. The food was delicious, but it was a waste of 4 hrs of my day, and the cost was not worth the portions OR the wait. I hope both locations can figure out how to serve people in a timely manner or I will continue to tell people to avoid the locations.

  If I could give a 0 star I would. We were seated with water, no cups. 30 min later at 2:15pm our waiter comes for our drink order, we decided to place our food order at the same time because we had a tight schedule. At 3:30pm I asked how much longer and was told 5 more minutes, they are putting the food on the plate. 15 more minutes we get free shots and no food. At 3:50 some of our food comes (cold), not everyone's but we were offered more free shots(we refused but I asked for the manager). 3:55pm one more plate comes and we are still missing one but it came shortly after. The manager comes by and said the kitchen is behind and offered us our food for free but we had to pay for the drinks... Go figure. We watched people come after us get served before us. It appeared they gave one of our plates to another table. Waiters and waitresses were all over the place. But they had plenty of people working so no excuses. This experience ruined our plans as we had other reservations for things to do that we missed. So we had to pivot for the day. We had to eat cold food in the car so we wouldn't be hungry. No one should have to wait almost two hours for food. The kitchen staff need to get better training on food production. Several guest including the serving staff were complaining that this is an on going problem. I hope the owners are listening....Best of luck!

  HORRIBLE! In town from Atlanta for the CB/Usher concert. Tiktok raved about this place. We sat down at 1:55pm, reservation at 1:30pm. Not the end of the world. No one came to our table for even drinks until 2:30pm. We also ordered at that time. We got our food at 3:37pm. YES! 3:37pm. The menu said 90min dining time… but I thought that meant like they give you 90ish mins to get everything and get out for seating… not that that’s how long it takes you to get your food!! They said the kitchen was backed up. Food came out lukewarm. WHAT DID WE WAIT FOR?! Salmon croquettes tasted frozen and bland. Shrimp and grits were okay. Again, lukewarm. My friend ordered the salmon burger. Stated it wasn’t flavorful. Other friend ordered a panini sandwiched that wasn’t even pressed. This was a whole day event for mediocre food. Portions were large though. I’m in the restaurant industry so I understand but this was beyond ridiculous. Black-owned and automatic 20% gratuity is becoming a red flag for me. But, they did offer a free dessert for the service. But I’d rather just have good service from the start. Strawberry cheesecake pudding was excellent!
