  While I'm leaving a glowing review, these few words will still pale in comparison to how awesome this restaurant really is. I came across this spot as they've been highlighted on TV and social media for being a Black-owned restaurant in Chicago with a rooftop. My hubby and I gave them a try a few times, then decided to make a rooftop reservation for my 50th birthday celebration. Taneka and Kila made the process extremely easy. Very accommodating and ALWAYS made me feel special (even waaaay before the big day). 🥰 The event went off without a hitch - food was great, the vibe was right, and the drinks were amazing. We opted for the buffet style menu for 50 people and selected a salad, chicken wings, grilled shrimp, spring rolls, and fried rice. Guests informed me numerous times that the food was delicious. 😋 I was too busy partying all night to take pics of the restaurant itself, but rest assured that the venue is NICE! Plenty of space - no matter how big your party size. The ambiance is great with colorful lighting, fire pits, and plenty of room to dance. Yes, this birthday girl is happy and would gladly scream it from their rooftop (I probably already did, but just don't remember). 😅 If you're looking for a spot to celebrate your next special occasion, do it at TNT Rooftop. You will not be disappointed. Trust.

  I went here on Juneteenth the way I will never support this place again as I’m sure I’m not allowed to come back no way because I had words with the disrespectful male owner but idc I been to better places I just was trying to be supportive but hell I should of known when i came to the area. Service was trash let’s start there the waiter/bartender attitude stinked since we walked through the door even other customers said the same, I guess knowing gratuity is included in the bill she figured she can act however and it wouldn’t matter. Basically the rude staff took all day servicing us and it came with a side of attitude, my friend walked out without paying just to see if they will notice because why not apparently were invisible the whole time until our drinks and food did come. Then when I paid my tab I walked out and she followed me like don’t do that because I paid my tab, then she called the owner which I was explaining to him I paid and plus further letting him know how terrible our experience was, he wanted to argue with me like the unprofessional person he is taking no accountability for the poor service we received. Had that never happened things wouldn’t of went left. Anywho my friend came back to pay her tab eventually because she was never trying to skip out to begin with. All I will say is go at your own risk and this is why I’m skeptical to support black own it’s a shame but places like this will never last long if they keep operating with terrible staff. If it helps the nasty attitude bartender was a short black lady late 40s, short cut hair style.

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Culinary Experience Worth Talking About Dining at TNT was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked through the door, I was impressed by the atmosphere. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, creating a welcoming environment that immediately sets the tone for a memorable dining experience. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. The quality of the ingredients was evident in every bite, and the attention to detail demonstrated a true passion for culinary excellence. Each plate felt like it was crafted with purpose, showcasing both creativity and skill. What truly elevated the experience, however, was the customer service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to ensuring every guest felt valued. Their professionalism and warmth complemented the dining experience perfectly. TN.T delivers on all fronts ambiance, cuisine, and hospitality. In a city filled with dining options, this restaurant manages to distinguish itself as a destination rather than just a place to eat. I left thoroughly impressed and already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

  For 2 drinks of patron it was $102 your on Madison #thehood not RUSH STREET and you want support in the hood we can't afford to support you... so our reservations was for 6:30pm we all ordered food around 715- 730 ( buckle up yall ) I ordered a side of mash potatoes and chicken tenders MY WAITRESS SAID YOU CAN ORDER THAT IT'S ON THE KIDS MENU I said but I'm paying for it I can't eat a lot ft3r going back and forth I said ok well it's for my niece right there SHE SAID SHE'S NOT AT THIS TABLE I said she's right in front of us at that table she said that's the policy I said show me on the menu where adults can't order from the kids menu SHE COULDN'T SHE SAID IT'S THE RULES so I said it's ok just give me the mash potatoes she said ill just do it for you this time ( im 😱 screaming inside my head) she brought them and they were full of black peppers #myacidreflux said NOOOOOO she said these are for kids it's shouldn't even have black people or this Cajun seasonings let me take it back ( she brought fried instead of my mash!!! well it started to rain they moved us downstairs inside well now it's likev830 or 8 40 I said do you when I'm going to get my mash potatoes on several occasions she said let me check the 5th time I asked for a manger because she said the kitchen told me they aren't making anymore that it's now a rushed crowd I said but i ordered before we even came downstairs MIND YOU THE BIRTHDAY GIRL AND HALF OF OUR PARTY HADN'T GOT THEIR FOOD now people are starting to share food SMH the manger came she ask the waitress why she never got her mash potatoes she said the told me to get out the kitchen they are not taking any more orders she said that's all you want is mashed potatoes let me see what I can do she brought them they were cold oh I basically just left from there on the table now its 10pm only maybe 6 people out of 20 got food people started telling them to take what they ordered off the menu that they was getting ready to leave because they were going somewhere else to get something to eat THIS IS ONLY POSTED SO THAT YOU ALL AS A BUSINESS DO BETTER #horribleexperience

  Thank you for the opportunity to provide feedback regarding our recent dining experience. Let me begin by saying that the food was absolutely delicious. We traveled a considerable distance to support your business while celebrating a friends birthdayas well as mine, and we were excited to experience a Black-owned establishment for the first time. Unfortunately, our arrival and overall service experience did not match the quality of the food. We had a reservation for a party of 15. When members of our party began arriving, some were seated while others were told that the party who made the reservation was not present, even after they showed proof of the reservation. Those guests were required to wait outside in the sun and were given a difficult time before being accommodated. The same issue occurred when additional members of our party arrived, including my son. As customers who intentionally choose to support Black-owned businesses, first impressions matter. The welcome and seating process left several members of our group feeling frustrated and uncomfortable so they left. In addition, there were several items that we ordered that never arrived at our table. We had to repeatedly ask about missing items, and some of the food was delivered so late that we had no choice but to take it to go. Another concern involved sanitation practices. While I appreciated that an employee was cleaning the bar area, I observed chemicals being sprayed in an area where customers were seated. As a food business owner myself, I understand the importance of cleanliness; however, chemicals should not be sprayed near guests, food, or beverages due to potential contamination risks. In an open environment, cleaning products can travel through the air and come into contact with food, drinks, and customers. Proper food safety practices are extremely important for both customer health and regulatory compliance. Overall, the food was excellent and is the reason I would consider returning. However, the customer service, reservation management, timing of food delivery, and certain sanitation practices need improvement to create an experience that matches the quality of your cuisine. Thank you for taking the time to review this feedback. My intention is not to criticize, but to provide honest input that can help strengthen the customer experience moving forward. Oh and the calamari never came.
