Ordered a half dark special with mac & cheese, cabbage, red beans and rice. Chicken tasted like ordinary baked chicken, the cabbage was bland and so was the orange mac and cheese.

The customer service was bad. Just called there and the woman that pick up the phone acted as if we annoyed her by asking questions and rude. If the food here is good I wouldn’t know but I know they will not get any of my money being that damn rude. Y’all need to do better.

My team and I had our production dinner here the day before showtime and the food, staff, and quest were all amazing! I'm definitely going back for a girls night out with the ladies. Friendly warm and SAFE atmosphere! I loved it♥️

Great customer service. Food was ok. Rice and chicken was dry and the portions of meat could've been better for the price. I'll give them another shot on different menu items.

I walked into this restaurant hoping for real Jamaican flavor, but everything about the meal told a different story. The rice, cabbage, and spinach were all drowned in pimento, to the point where every side tasted identical. Instead of balanced jerk seasoning, the food had the same after taste , a clove‑heavy profile that happens when pimento is used without understanding how it works. And the chicken? It wasn’t jerk chicken at all — it was smoked chicken. No jerk marinade, with the cooks best friend pimento wood smoke, no spice profile, no char. Just plain smoked chicken being passed off as jerk. Anyone who actually knows Jamaican food can taste the difference instantly. It became clear that this is an American restaurant trying to look Jamaican, probably by hiring someone from Jamaica and assuming that alone guarantees authenticity. But being from a country doesn’t automatically make someone an expert in that cuisine. That’s like assuming every African American automatically knows how to cook soul food — it’s simply not true. Cooking is a skill, not a nationality. The portion sizes were huge, but not in a good way. When sides are piled high like that, it usually means the kitchen knows they aren’t good. I ended up throwing the entire plate away, which is something I never do. To make things worse, the food was served in cheap styrofoam trays that clearly weren’t meant for hot food or large portions. It’s 2026 — nobody wants melted styrofoam in their body, or grease from food leaking from cheap trays. Tip to the owners If you truly want to serve Jamaican cuisine, spend time in Jamaica. Learn the food, the balance, the smoke, the seasoning, the culture, the love behind the dishes. Because anyone who actually knows jerk can taste immediately that this is an American restaurant with a Jamaican cook, not Jamaican cuisine made with skill or authenticity.
