Love this breakfast spot! The place has a cozy and inviting atmosphere, making it a great place to start the day. The food is excellent, and there are plenty of options on the menu, so there's something for everyone. We stopped by on a beautiful Sunday morning and were lucky enough to grab one of the outdoor tables. The nice weather made the whole experience even better. As expected in downtown Chicago, parking can be a bit of a challenge, and the restaurant was packed with people. We ended up waiting about 10 minutes before getting seated, which wasn't bad considering how busy it was. Overall, the food, atmosphere, and experience were well worth it. I really enjoyed my visit and will definitely be coming back again soon.

Do not order a basic meal of bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, toast or pancakes. The result will be a very simple plate of bullswank. Apparently you need to get the purple grits if you really wanna see what this place has to offer but I’ll be honest, the sticky tables did not make me feel comfortable getting “adventurous”. I expected a simple yet well executed plate of eggs and bacon. Since yall wanna talk about basic, could I possibly get a cost on the case of bacon you’re procuring? Gotta be the cheapest your purveyor has to offer but how can I trust you with a “bacon flight” if the standalone bacon is nasty? I don’t even write reviews because it’s become a norm in Chicago to sell mid food and yall sensitive to criticism. However, I see yall got time to respond MIDDAY to my wife’s review so let’s all just communicate. Your FOH staff was busy enjoying tacos(they looked good because the hostess or whoever was spilling all over herself) behind the stand. I didnt see tacos on the menu, even your employees don’t want your food. To be clear my basic(your words) plate of food I could have made better at home was truly luke warm, your cooks need more training on firing so food comes out hot AT LEAST. Maybe yall don’t believe in traditional dining standards but I think when two people are sat together, order together, they should eat together. In fairness, the decor was indeed cute but whatever coating yall have on the table feels nasty. Sticky. Everything was sticky on the table to be real. Could be a dirty rag cleaning the table. To end on a positive note, the Texas toast with prepackaged butter was ON POINT! Imma throw you 2 stars. 1 for the toast, 1 for decor on the walls.

We ordered the great since 38… basic bacon and eggs with a side of cheesy hash browns and buttermilk pancakes add strawberries. Upon entering the restaurant it’s pretty. We were sat quickly and orders taken just as quick. The food didn’t take that long to come out but longer than a wait should be for bacon and eggs and the restaurant was not busy. We get the great since 38,but no pancakes. We begin to taste the bacon and eggs and they are bland , bacon tastes like a strip …that’s it! No flavor what so ever to this thin strip of bacon . The cheesy hash browns were cold, cheese hardened , no flavor! Everything needed salt and pepper plus more but by this time I was over it. Pancakes still had not arrived. We told a server ,different from ours, we didn't get our pancakes but we wanted to cancel them and get the check. Minutes go by we were able to flag our waitress and tell her we hadn’t got the pancakes and that we wanted to cancel the pancakes and get the check. She proceeds to tell us the food doesn’t come out at the same time …what… it’s pancakes vs bacon and eggs . She told the manager to take them off, we paid and left . Wasted $18 on parking and $25 on nasty bacon and eggs .

Let's start with, I plan on trying them again. However, the food and service left little to be desired. The drinks were just ok. Bloody Mary's. The food wasn't up to the hype. The pancakes tasted like the frozen ones I get my granddaughter, the half of pastrami sandwich contained only 2 pieces of meat, wasn't hot- the cheese didn't even melt, my potatoes in my skillet were burnt and left out the requested cheese. We ordered the flight of bacon and it took 3 people to finally tell us what the meat was on it. None of them being our waitress. I'm she wasn't bad but didn't see her much. My friend was being pretty needy-maybe that's why. The only reason I am going try it again is because of the manger that came and talked to us and tried to make things right. She was very patient and professional-which was hard to do with my friend and I. So kudos to her and I'll see ya again. Oh yeah... the gratuity thing...Boo!

Food was AMAZING. Can’t recommend the Lox Platter enough. Great portions and delicious. Got the mimosa tower. Cinnamon pancakes were heavenly. Unfortunately the service was lacking. Our server was hardly around. Took our order, then didn’t see him again until the end, where all he asked was if we were ready to close out. Didn’t bus our table, ask how anything was. Felt very transactional. The two tables outside to our left also sat unbussed for over 45 minutes. With just a little elevation in service this place could be a staple!
