My aunt introduced me to Tacombi yesterday, and I am so glad she did! The restaurant is really cute inside, and the food was so good.
I had the Mexican street corn to start and then lunch special with two tacos, rice, and beans. I got the carne asada, which is just steak and onions, but it’s so good! For my second taco I got the crispy fish, and I loved the sauce and the cabbage. I usually don’t love a corn tortilla, but these tacos were so flavorful that the corn tortilla was perfect. I also had the watermelon agua fresca, and it was refreshing and not too sweet.
And then one of the staff members, Chris, was such a vibe. He greeted us so friendly and professional as soon as we walked up and came over later to check on us, and chatted with me and my aunt for a bit. It was nice getting to know him and it meant a lot that he took time to talk to us. Our waitress was amazing too, and other staff members stopped by to check on us throughout our meal. They don’t play about the service lol.
For me, it’s a 5 out of 5 because the food and the service are equally great. I highly recommend!
Love this place!! Delicious food. 👌🏼 The shrimp tacos, esquites, guac and chips, frozen piña colada 🍹, churros...you can't miss! They had a big screen down for the World Cup game and the ambiance was amazing. Highly recommend!! Evelyn's hospitality was wonderful She was so attentive and made us feel right at home! Thanks!

I’m not the type to write reviews, but something must be said about this place, and it starts with the food. After passing by many times my family and I decided to finally check it off our list. We had the al pastor tacos and carne asada tacos both were terrible the Al pastor was cold and chewy with very little flavor the salsa was not very good and did nothing to improve the tacos. The carne asada looked like it came from a can of dog food it was fatty and grey. The chips were very tasty and drinks were good the atmosphere is great but without good food who cares.

The hostess threw our menus on the table that she assigned us, but then let the people after us pick where they wanted to seat. Came back like 10mins later and said “has someone taken your order?” Like NO, YOU ARE THE HOST AND ORDER TAKER. You KNEW THAT ALREADY! 🤣
She clearly does NOT deserve to be here. Besides that, good and drinks were great!

I came into Tacombi with a friend expecting a decent meal, and honestly, this was one of the most disappointing restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time.
We ordered two tacos, one al pastor and one carne asada, along with guacamole and chips. The tacos were completely underwhelming. The al pastor barely had any meat on it, to the point where it felt like I was eating mostly tortilla. The carne asada was extremely salty and honestly hard to enjoy. For the price, the portions and quality were nowhere near acceptable.
The guacamole was another major letdown. The chips tasted like they came straight out of a grocery-store bag, and they were cold, hard, and stale. The guacamole itself did not taste freshly prepared or properly mashed. It genuinely felt like someone just put avocado in a bowl and charged $15 for it. That is ridiculous.
On top of the poor food quality, the service was disorganized. Our order was messed up, and instead of handling it quickly, the staff seemed confused trying to figure out who was missing a taco. It should not be that complicated to get a small order correct.
The atmosphere was nothing special either, and the overall experience felt careless from start to finish. The drinks were also disappointing. If you enjoy overpriced food, tiny portions, stale chips, salty meat, and beer that tastes awful, then this might be your place.
I really wanted to like this spot, but based on this visit, I would not recommend it. The food, service, and value were all below expectations. For what they charge, Tacombi needs to do a lot better.
