License suspended for the exact same reasons that its sister restaurant (the bagel) got suspended for. Improper storage of food and cockroaches everywhere. Not only are these inspections scheduled, they put a sign up at the bagel to come here while that restaurant was suspended. Actually insane that while they fixed the roach infestation at one restaurant, they tried sending customers to another roach infested one. Never eating here or at the bagel ever again.

Cute diner near Wrigley with basic good food and excellent service, and BYOB. We were there for dinner but breakfast looked very good.

I was able to walk in and immediately get seated. The waitress came right to me and took my order. Food was awesome! Next time I’m in Chicago I’ll stop in again.
Sometimes you just want a real diner breakfast, and Stella’s delivered. Juicy pork chop, crispy hash browns, perfect eggs, and friendly service. Good food, good people, and great value. I'll definitely be back.

Lure Ball Bites
Stella’s Diner feels like one of those classic hometown eateries where Trainers gather before school, work, or their next adventure. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, delivering exactly the kind of comforting Pokémon Center energy you’d expect from a family-focused diner.
I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak Breakfast, and the Chicken Fried Steak easily carried the team with strong Attack stats and satisfying flavor. The over-easy eggs were cooked perfectly, unleashing a glorious yolk-based recovery move with every bite. The hash browns were dependable support Pokémon that were solid and reliable, even if they didn’t bring any surprise evolutions to the battle. The biscuit, however, fell a little short of its potential, lacking the buttery, flaky power-up that could have elevated it to Elite Four status.
Stella’s isn’t trying to overwhelm Trainers with flashy moves or Legendary-tier gimmicks. Instead, it succeeds by delivering a straightforward, satisfying breakfast in a welcoming environment. If you want a taste of down-to-earth Chicago culture with strong family-diner vibes, Stella’s Diner is absolutely worth the encounter.
