I ordered the honey drizzled chicken for delivery and it was so good finger licking good and crispy. Normally, I use hot sauce when I eat fried chicken this did not need it. The mac & cheese and greens were outstanding. This is my new favorite spot.

I ordered a side of greens and my companion ordered catfish, Mac and green beans. They put the greens in a small compartment with his meal and did a big container full of green beans. When we got back to the hotel and I tasted the greens, there SO SALTY I literally spit it in the garbage. They were so salty they actually almost tasted spicy and it wasn't just me who thought so. My companion complained that the fish was Swai and NOT catfish. I didn't taste it so I can't attest to that. I will say that he ALWAYS eats catfish and I trust his judgment. The restaurant was not afforded the opportunity to make it right because we opted not to drive back (45 minutes in Chicago traffic). They had a BYOB option, which was nice, but I personally will not be going back.

I ordered this for delivery and when I say this is the best soul food I’ve had in sooooooo long omg!!! I literally don’t give reviews but I had to give one for this. Soooo good and I’m from the south! I got the fried chicken, sweet potatoes, and Mac and cheese and I was almost eating the plate.

When they say SOUL food, Soulé to Soulé in Chicago clearly took that personally. 😮💨🔥
—
Because LOOK. AT. THESE. PLATES.
—
First up: the pork chops with mac & cheese and greens. And they did NOT come to play with the portions. The pork chops were beautifully glazed, tender, flavorful, and seasoned like somebody’s auntie was in the kitchen making sure you knew exactly where you were. 😂👏🏾
—
But those SIDES?! The mac & cheese was creamy, cheesy, and giving everything you want from a soul food mac. And the greens? Tender, savory, and full of that slow-cooked flavor. This wasn’t a plate where the sides were an afterthought — everybody contributed to the group project. 😂
—
Nowwww…the shrimp & grits. 🍤
—
BABY.
—
Creamy grits, big seasoned shrimp, and that rich, savory sauce surrounding everything?! Every spoonful gets a little bit of everything, and THAT is the kind of shrimp & grits I want. The sauce soaked into the grits beautifully, the shrimp had plenty of flavor, and the portion was more than generous.
—
Soulé to Soulé gave us comfort, flavor AND portions. This is the kind of meal where you arrive hungry, loosen your belt halfway through, and STILL ask for a to-go box because leaving anything behind feels disrespectful. 😂
—
If you’re in Chicago looking for some soul food, put Soulé to Soulé on the list. And come HUNGRY.

• Pork chops: HIT.
• Mac & cheese: HIT.
• Greens: HIT.
• Shrimp & grits: HIIIIIT.

Would absolutely run this one back. 🤌🏾
Beautiful place, high production value and amazing presentation. We came as a group of 4 with no reservation on Sunday for dinner. While it did take a while for our food to come out, it was incredible and totally worth the wait. Shrimp and grits were delicious, but my friends were not a fan because it was a little sweet. Salmon bites were delicious but a little dry. The sauce on them was tasty and helped a lot. We also had two orders of the honey fried chicken and wow it was fresh, generous portions and exactly what you'd want from soul food. The only thing is that there was an auto gratuity for a group of 4 of 20%, and the checkout auto added another 20% on top of that. I am all for paying tips but a default 40% seemed devious.
