  Great food and service. Street/meter parking. We had stuffed Salmon, beef short ribs and hot honey catfish…. They didn’t miss!!! I love that it’s small and intimate but they also have a patio. Come out on Friday evenings, infamous DJ 3Stripes spins!

  I went on Memorial Day weekend. Service was very good. Food was just okay (big portions but lacking in taste, especially for the prices). The main thing that makes me not want to come back is the 18 percent (maybe 20 percent) dine in service charge that doesn’t go to the wait staff ( this is what I waiter told us). We tipped on top of the service charge so in all we gave more than 40 percent on top of the total. It’s not the issue of the charge, it’s the issue that it wasn’t presented before hand

  I placed a catering order for a Juneteenth work event and primarily communicated with Dominic throughout the process. For the most part, things went smoothly and the ordering experience was easy and straightforward. There were a few instances where I needed to call the restaurant to check on my order status. One time, I was placed on hold for over 20 minutes, and when I called back, the interaction felt a bit abrupt and there was no acknowledgment of the delay. However, I was then transferred to Dominic’s brother, who was very pleasant and professional, which helped turn the experience around. Overall, the team was easy to work with, and the food was very good. The greens had a bit more meat than I personally prefer, but that was a minor preference rather than a complaint. I appreciated the opportunity to support a Black-owned business, and despite a few small communication hiccups, I would still consider ordering again in the future.

  I’m late posting this review and sorry that I deleted the pictures but this is a black owned establishment and the food is delicious! The restaurant is small and I pray they get a larger location. The ambiance is nice, not to dark and very clean. I been here twice and it was a slam dunk both times. The honey hot catfish is amazing. It’s REAL catfish not swai fish. Don’t let the name scare you, the fish comes out piping hot and the honey hot sauce drizzled on it is the perfect compliment to the dish. The strawberry wing appetizers are simply delicious and flavorful. Please don’t hesitate on the beef short rib it is fork tender the portion size is really nice it’s paired with mashed potatoes that were really good as well I should have asked for extra gravy because I’m a saucy person. The cornbread is delicious but not a shareable size in my opinion so order your own. The jambalaya shrimp pasta was also good and the shrimps were huge. The chicken Alfredo is a must try as well. What I love about this restaurant is that the food is solid, very good and you don’t feel cheated with the portion size. The food came out piping hot and the and quick we didn’t have to wait all night. Please order the frozen lemonade and piña colada. 6/21/26 We went back here today Father’s Day and AGAIN it was a hit this time I took the pictures. We got in and out without any reservations. EVERYTHING was good and I had to take a frozen lemonade to go which taste really good even when it melts. We had stuffed salmon, braised short rib, smash burger, strawberry blazing wings, and taco dip and it was all delicious.

  Just realized they are not giving out the correct points either it says 10 points for every dollar so I should have 1700 total but I only got 1526 on not even that because they took some so now I got 1296 this company is a joke at this point lmaooooooooo how you gone cheat a system that has proof I have all my orders saved in the app Im going to the better business bureau (BBB) and calling my friend at the health department NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE I HAVE SPENT SOOO MUCH MONEY HERE AND THEY ARE CROOKS MY APP THAT I HAVE BEEN ORDERING WITH WHICH IS THEIR APP I ORDERED THROUGH ALL THE TIME SO I FINALLY GO ON THERE AND IT SAYS I HAVE A FREE MEAL SO I TRY TO REDEEM MY FREE MEAL BECAUSE IT SAID I HAVE 1526 POINTS so it says I qualify for a free meal WHEN I TRIED TO PLACE THE ORDER, IT TELLS ME I DON’T HAVE ENOUGH POINTS EVEN THOUGH CLEARLY IN THESE PICTURES IT SHOWS I HAVE MORE THAN ENOUGH POINTS SO I FIGURED I WILL CALL THE STORE. SHE COULDN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS SAYING SO I WAS RIGHT ACROSS THE STREET SO I WALKED OVER WHEN I GOT THERE. THEY WERE STILL CONFUSED AS TO WHAT WAS GOING ON, SO I SHOWED THEM MY APP. I SHOWED THEM THAT I SHOULD BE ABLE TO PLACE AN ORDER BUT IT WAS NOT PROCESSING SO THEY CALLED WHO I AM ASSUMING SHE WAS A MANAGER WHEN SHE GOT THERE. SHE BASICALLY HAD A SNOBBY ATTITUDE TOLD ME TO PUT MY PHONE NUMBER IN. I TOLD HER I RECENTLY GOT A NEW NUMBER SO SHE TOLD ME TO TRY THAT NUMBER I SHOWED HER MY APP AND IT SAID MY EMAIL SO SHE TOLD ME TO TRY MY EMAIL. THE ONLY THING THAT CAME UP WAS MY FIRST PHONE NUMBER SO SHE SAID IT ONLY SHOWS 36 POINTS AND I SAID WELL YOU CLEARLY SEE IN MY APP RIGHT HERE, I ORDERED WITH YOU ALL ALL THE TIME I HAVE ENOUGH POINTS TO GET A MEAL. SHE SAYS WELL THERE’S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT. YOU CAN ORDER THRU ME RIGHT NOW AND I CAN MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR POINTS FROM NOW ON. WHY WOULD I POSSIBLY SPEND ANY MORE MONEY WITH A COMPANY THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS SHE DID NOT OFFER ME ANYTHING. SHE DID NOT CARE AND HER ATTITUDE SHOWED IT. I WILL TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS PLACE DO NOT ORDER HERE. I REPEAT DO NOT ORDER HERE IF YOU’RE PLANNING ON GETTING YOUR POINTS OR YOUR INCENTIVE OR SPENDING MONEY WITH A COMPANY DON’T COUNT ON IT THEY’RE GOING TO STEAL YOUR MONEY. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE EVER. IT IS ACROSS THE STREET FROM MY JOB. IT WAS THE MOST CONVENIENT PLACE THAT I COULD GO SO I ALWAYS GO THERE. AFTER THAT EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DIME WITH MIMI’S TACOS. I SEE WHY OUR PEOPLE WILL NOT go far because they don’t know how to take care of thee customers I HAVE BEEN COMING HERE FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND TO BE TREATED LIKE I DIDN’T SPEND MY MONEY THERE AND YALL DIDN’T REWARD ME WITH SOMETHING FOR SPENDING. MY MONEY IS CRAZY. Now they took some of my points to make it seem as if I was wrong too late I already screenshot it lol it’s in the pictures below that’s crazy
