We waited like an hour and 20 minutes they had ran out of some of the food that we had wanted, but once we did pick something, the food came out very good. That atmosphere was good. They had a DJ one of the waiters was kinda like nonchalant. She just put the water down didn’t say anything.im guessing she had a long day!!!

The food was delicious. I had honey spicy catfish/mashed potatoes, my husband had jerk pasta. This is a very small restaurant with a nice and cozy atompthere. The male server was friendly and very funny. We will be back again:-)

The food was excellent, and we really enjoyed the quality of the meal. The only downside was the experience with seating. We didn’t realize reservations were required, so we came as walk-ins. That wouldn’t have been a problem, but the staff seemed very disorganized managing the wait list and reservations. At times, there appeared to be confusion among the staff themselves about availability and timing. It may have been better to simply limit or stop walk-ins for the evening instead of continuing to tell multiple groups the wait would only be 15 minutes. When everyone is being quoted the same short wait time, it creates unrealistic expectations and makes it difficult to properly accommodate reservations.

Came in for the Birria tacos. Told by waiter no longer available but item is still listed on the menu. End up getting Jambalaya. Wasn't truly what I wanted and wasn't quite satisfied either. The waiter was attentive and service was good. Also had a peach margaritas which was good and strong.

I’m from out of town and saw this on a list of top foods from Chicago if you chose to visit, so I knew I needed to go. From the service, to the atmosphere, to the nostalgic music playing, followed by the absolutely amazing and mouthwatering dinner. I got the catfish and mac & cheese paired with the collard greens. Everything was seasoned to perfection and perfectly balanced. The only reason why I’m taking one star away is because I’m 100% certain that the fried “Catfish” that I received was fried tilapia instead. I have eaten the two very frequently and have done so for the past 20 years and know the textural and flavor differences. Twas definitely tilapia:, but I did order about an hour and a half before closing, so it’s possible that they were out of catfish, and since I’ve eaten tilapia for so long, I am a fan of this type of fish, and it was still delicious nonetheless, however, since it wasn’t exactly catfish, it was not worth that exact price. However the margarita, which was basically just liquor with thoughts of lime, definitely made up for it. I had a time due to that beverage and for that I’m grateful. Would definitely come back to try the citrus wings.
