Well it took just shy of 70 years to happen. It finally has. I was born into a family who owned and operated bed and breakfasts and several restaurants in north central Vermont. I am very familiar with the hospitality industry as a guest as well as an irritated employee. I dined at this establishment a few days ago. I have never had a better experience and I say this after giving considerable thought before I would write the review because I wanted to make sure that I wasn't coming up with these statements of acclaim because it was the most recent experience. I have experienced excellence as a patron of many fine dining establishments throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Europe including Scandinavia where I was born. I ordered the 12-in pizza and when the effervescent employee brought it to the table I immediately told her that it was not my order and of course she repeated the order and I looked at her quizzically. How in the world am I going to eat all that? I took one bite and I have never ever tasted pizza this exceptional. The crust and the overloading extra cheese and that savory tomato sauce almost did me in. In addition to indulging I also inhaled the aroma allowing every one of my senses to experience their secrets from the kitchen. It has to be a secret or everybody would be baking endlessly. My server was William who is the most engaging hospitable welcoming server I have ever had the pleasure to become acquainted with. His timing and knowledge of the menu was impeccable. He is not one of those servers that takes an order and then suddenly goes on vacation to the Berkshires. He actually maintains a presence in the dining room overseeing the experience of the guests seated in his section. I had the great privilege towards the end of the meal to meet the general manager Jessica. I did not realize that at first she was yhe gentle manager and as I began to talk to her I asked what her position was and she indeed informed me that I was talking to the person I was hoping to give some feedback to. Because it needs to be said. The laborious people in this industry hear complaint after complaint without hesitation from over- discriminating dinners. If something isn't right no one keeps it to themselves and they lambast management, especially in this current culture where from on high it is permissible to act out. I wanted to give Jessica encouragement that what they are doing is exceeding any mission that this restaurant has stated for themselves. Congratulations to everyone involved. Ambition like this does not have an inception where it begins without continuously seeking further advancement. I can't imagine how you would top your present achievements but I know you will. Excellence never says, “Okay enough, we are satisfied.” Now go further and stir your imagination.
God bless.

Being from Michigan/Detroit, I always thought detroit style pizza was superior.
Having experienced the deep dish pizza here, my mind has been changed. The pizza was addicting. We had to travel back the next morning so we unfortunately had to leave our leftovers at the hotel. Typing this message makes me sad at the pizza that was sacrificed to the hotel dumpster gods.
Our server was quick and efficient. For how busy the place was, I was blown away at the speed of service. The drinks and appetizer were at the table only a couple moments after ordering.
Probably the highlight of our trip when it came to the food and service in Chicago.
Please UPS me one of those delicious pies!!

Came to labriola last night, we were visiting from Toronto and whenever we are in Chicago we come here for the deep dish. As always had the best of experience here. Kyle and Jason were amazing they catered to our food preferences and made sure we get the best deep dish! Will keep coming here and recommend this place to our friends in Chicago and people visiting!

The restaurant aesthetics are nice. When we arrived, we were seated promptly. Shortly after it got really busy so if you come here for lunch try to get here before noon. Our waiter was rude while I was placing my order. My husband was surprised at how odd it was. We ordered garlic knots and an artisan pizza. The garlic knots were delicious. But because his service was so off putting, I will not come here again.

I wanted so bad for this food to be better than it was. We has apps, pizza and pasta and it was all warm food that had no love. Looks good in pictures but has no pop of flavor and they seem to be trying to serve so many people that they cannot make the food delicious. If you have a large party and have people with you who don't know what good Italian food tastes like then this is fine. It wasn't bad. It just wasn't worth it. Think warmed up grocery store pasta and pizza.
