  This Jewel is my second to main grocer, as I can walk to it. The convenience of this location has always worked well for me, and I've been happy to come here for three years. Unfortunately, my recent experiences here, in the last month or so, have been very poor. Their entire selection of gorgonzola cheese was labeled "best by April 10" (I was shopping on April 26th). While I know that food can still be safe to eat after the best by date, Jewel is quite expensive compared to other stores and I expect fresh, long lasting groceries at that price point. The produce I have gotten from here recently has also been unfortunate. Their selection of avocados was sad, small, and lacked variety in ripeness. The one I eventually brought home had mold in the middle, around the seed. I want to keep going to this Jewel due to the convenience, but their price is high for the quality I've been seeing recently. I'm switching to the nearest Mariano's until their quality of goods returns to what it was in past years.

  Worst jewel ever. Been going for a few years, and I feel like it's been getting worse. I don't review often, but I feel strongly about the way this place is run. First walking into the store, it's so poorly organized that you have to squeeze your way between the long line of customers trying to pay at the self checkout. The entire store is constanly being restocked during the day, so the aisles and shelves are always blocked with crates or random boxes. There will be multiple deli workers at the same time, and when they see a customer, they basically roll their eyes and continue what they're doing for 5 minutes before they come ask what you need in an irritated tone. Even with workers in the store constantly in the way restocking shelves, their produce section is somehow always low, and the food they do have doesn't even look good enough to buy half the time. To top it all off, they only have one cashier working at a given time when they have 5 or 6 checkout lines they could be using, so you have to stand in line for self checkout, and then scan and bag all your groceries yourself. There are a few nice employees who deserve the every bit of this one star I'm giving. But had yet another bad experience today with a line of shopping carts placed by a worker that blocked the exit, and I couldn't fit my shopping cart through. So I had to go all the way around the store just to have to push my shopping cart to other side of the parking lot to my car. Won't be going there again. Waste of time, every time

  Dear Jewel-Osco Management You must provide your employees who bully customers and harbor a sense of racial superiority—including "Chloe," given her misconduct—with additional training sessions on anti-bullying and anti-racism. This is of paramount importance, particularly in the context of this country, which is home to individuals belonging to diverse races and communities.

  I want to say I've been going to this Jewels for over 20ys and I never had a problem .I lost some money it fell out of my pocket with my list .i realized I didn't have have had to everything back I panicked.i decided to go home and look but I knew I lost it there so I thought what can I lose I'll call to see if it was turned in .Come to find out Brian the manager found it and I couldn't be happier,or thank him enough it was kind of a lot of money to lose But Thank You Brian I really appreciate it your the best .you made my day from bad to great with that one phone call🙂thank you jewels staff
