I would first like to mention the customer service at this location is great. The issue is the inconsistency of the product in question (particularly the chicken Cesar salad). This has been a long time favorite with this grocery chain, but lately the salad has been predominantly croutons with very little chicken. I would highly recommend to retain consumer base to not skim on the products qualitative aspects versus quantitative approach to product base. I would love to remain a loyal customer to this establishment which I hope this review will be taken into consideration, thank you.

Couldn't find the entrance right away, homeless people were hanging out in the front of the store, garbage was everywhere, really just looks like people need to take care of the area better

Every time I go there after work, some of the people who work at the deli are already shutting down and refuse to slice meat. I’m pretty sure they’re closing early and management doesn’t know because other Jewels I’ve been to are still open for a good amount of time. Today I was thankfully helped by a gentleman who knew it was wrong to refuse service while they should be open.

I think this store gets a bad rap. I think it is nice. If you use the app, you can get lots of deals. While I have not compared the non-sale prices to others, I do think there are some great deals to be had. Like today, they had buy one get two free pork tenderloins. That's a lot of pork. I do sometimes notice that the price tags are not near the product. For example, they had the 1.5 lb bags of Little Potato Co potatoes on sale but there were only 3 lbs bags available. If you don't have the product, take down the sign!

Janet is absolutely horrible. So many of your employees are horrible. Your cashiers are so bad I now use self checkout to avoid them. They give you attitude for everything, especially Janet and the old tall white dude with gray hair in particular.
Many employees act like you're not there when you are polite and say thank you even when they're being rude to the point they would be fired in any decent business place.
They treat your groceries like garbage, throwing heavy things on top of light things, destroying your fruit, chips, eggs, and whatever in the process. Point it out and they get mad like YOU did something wrong.
They fail to ring up produce properly because they don't know what it is, or are too stupid or lazy to look it up. Instead of doing their job and asking for help or clarification from management they just try to get you off their back and say they just can't do it. They absolutely can. Other stores had no problem doing it.
They fail to ring up coupons properly, then get angry if you ask them to do it again. If you hold your ground lile my mom did when the guy I mentioned before tried to pull this and got rude and sassy with her about it, IT WORKS. Amazing! My mom laughed in his face when it went through fine and embarrassed your entire store in front of an enormous line of customers held up because he was too stubborn to just swipe a phone code or whatever again.
Some give back wrong change, then they attempt to gaslight you and basically accuse you of stealing when you point it out rather than apologize fir their mistake, and the fact that THEY just stole OUR money. I wouldn't be surprised if they were pocketing it.
Please just start leaving us a number for you or management we can call in your replies to us instead of the cookie cutter autobot response of "thanks for the reply! We have notified the team and will correct this" because you absolutely are NOT succesfully doing that, as I've Bern going here 10 years and the exact same problem people, like Janet, only continue to grow ruder and worse, and are clearly not being reprimanded or reeducated even remotely.
We will continue leaving negative reviews until things get better. Us customers should NOT have to deal with this. Replace them with robots of necessary, at least clankers won't be rude. It actually is now at the point where generally I will ONLY go to self checkout. Not because I like it, but because SOMEHOW I can ring it all up FASTER than your employees working fir years?! How?! Why?! I've never even worked doing groceries and I am faster? And somehow unlike them I can actually figure out how to get a coupon or code to work. It also doesn't give me the runaround they do, abd lie saying things like "your food voucher won't work for that item" when somehow magically at the self checkout I ring it up with the discount no problem.
Oh, I also catch quite a few of your employees gossiping behind the backs of customers when they think we can't hear them... insulting us and mocking us. Worse yet I not only hear them do that, but I hear them speak insults about each other, and even their own managers.
I'm not asking for much - I don't want a refund or apology from someone else. Just hold them to a higher standard of basic human respect and courtesy. ESPECIALLY JANET.
