  There was a worker that has white hair and is a girl that is very mean. She sounded like she was bothered by my questions and like she wanted me to go away. DO NOT INTERACT WITH THIS LADY.

  Worst customer service and staff. They are so rude, I won’t be going to this location again. Marisol was my checkout cashier and she asked me questions like I worked there (Where is the divider? Why couldn’t you pay up front?), I pay my hard working money to shop with friendly service and ease. This place is far from friendly. I wish I would have gotten the customer service guy on duty and the two girls at the self check out. They were the ruddiest and the reason why I even wanted to write this review.

  On a recent visit, I caught at least 5 items that had a sale price on it in the aisle that did not ring up at the register the same. Also, watch out for their containers of fruit, such as blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, and don't grab if they are wet. It is an underhand practice to wash those items in the containers and let them sit. This deteriorates them and causes them to mold quickly. I grabbed some blueberries in haste, and they were moldy a few days after getting them home. I'm sticking with Mariano's.

  I’ve had multiple frustrating experiences at this Jewel-Osco, particularly with management and issues at self-checkout. Today, I purchased an item that had a discounted price advertised, and the discount did not apply even though I had already clipped the required coupon in the app before scanning the item and entered my phone number. When I asked for help, I was asked to show the coupon, so I pulled it up in the app. Instead of simply helping resolve the issue, I was told by Judith, “I can’t tell if you’re clipping them now or not. You’re just clipping them now.” That was frustrating because I had already explained that the coupon had been clipped beforehand. I shop at Jewel-Osco regularly and understand how the app and digital coupons work. I don’t appreciate being questioned or spoken to defensively when I’m simply pointing out that an advertised price did not ring up correctly. This also isn’t the first time I’ve had this problem at this location. There have been multiple occasions where sale prices, including some that did not even require a digital coupon, failed to apply at self-checkout. When I ask an employee to correct it, the response often feels defensive, as though I have to prove that I’m entitled to the price clearly advertised in the store. Yes, sometimes the difference is only a few dollars, but that isn’t really the point. Customers should be charged the advertised price without having to carefully check every item and argue for corrections. If this is happening repeatedly, I also wonder how many customers are unknowingly paying more because they simply don’t notice. I hope management looks into both the self-checkout pricing issues and how customers are treated when they bring legitimate pricing discrepancies to an employee’s attention. A simple pricing correction should not turn into an uncomfortable or confrontational interaction.
