  Apparently not the cleanest location. I attempted to use kiosk near lotto and ATM, smelled heavily of urine. Tried to tell an employee, they said they didn't smell it and went back to their job.

  I am extremely disappointed with the handling of a gift card purchase at Jewel-Osco location. I bought a $100 gift card from your store for my mother on the Saturday before Mother’s Day 2026. Unfortunately, when she attempted to use it that Monday, she was informed by Nordstrom’s cashier that the card had no funds. Upon hearing this, I retrieved the gift card from my mother and returned to Jewel-Osco with both the gift card and the purchase receipt. I spoke with staff at the front desk, explained the situation, and handed over the necessary information for an investigation. I was assured that I would receive an email update within a month. They never clarified from who the email would be coming from or any further details to look for, I was simply told that it would be from their gift card vendor (as if I am suppose to know who that it). After a month passed without communication, I returned to inquire about the status of the investigation, only to be told that it was still ongoing and that no further details could be provided. This was incredibly frustrating, as not only had I lost the $100 I spent on the gift card, but I also felt left in the dark regarding the resolution. In an attempt to escalate the matter, I spoke with a different store manager, who revealed that this was not an isolated incident; they were aware of ongoing issues with hackers targeting gift cards. This acknowledgment only heightened my frustration. If there is a known problem with gift card security, I believe it is crucial for Jewel-Osco to take proactive measures to protect customers and communicate these risks clearly. Here we are, four months later, and I am still without a resolution and out $100. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability and support from Jewel-Osco regarding this matter. I will no longer purchase gift cards from any Jewel-Osco location, and I feel that customers should be made aware of these potential risks to prevent further losses. AD

  Compliments to the incrediblely talented and friendly catering staff at Jewel in Garfield Ridge. Your guidance in placing an order (pinwheels & finger sandwiches) for an upcoming visitation was impeccable. The variety of fresh deli meats (roast beef, ham, turkey) & garnishes (olives, pickles, tomatoes, peppers) as well as the condiments ( mustard, ranch dressing) was perfect. Your team did an amazing job! Thank you for making a difficult time a bit less stressful.

  I wanted to add to my review for the Butcher Shop section. I was there today, Labor Day, and the Butcher Shop was very busy. Despite the bustling, Tony took the time to answer my questions about the sales today. Tony was professional, very knowledgeable and courteous. Again, I appreciate all the kind and helpful employees I’ve met at this Jewel/Osco. I was at the Deli today and Lupe and Maureen were very friendly and helpful. Dan K. from Deli I’ve run into on several occasions and he’s always been very helpful and professional. This Jewel-Osco is one of the better well managed stores I’ve run into.
