  I have been shopping at jewel for many years. It’s very convenient they have indoor parking and elevator access. They carry wide variety of stock for fresh produce and shelf items. Deli , bakeries and kitchen have wide varieties to select from. They do have weekly sale where the prices are very reasonable. All the staff are very helpful and courteous even when the store is extremely busy. Their app is great to use. If the items on sale not available you can ask for rain check.

  Stopped by today at 6:40pm to purchase alcohol when I was told I couldn’t because the tequila I wanted was locked up and the only staff who has the key was gone for the day. The only time anyone is able to purchase ANYTHING that is locked up is IF the liquor department manager is at the store. To AVOID any issues I suggest anyone wanting to purchase alcohol especially tequila go across the street to CVS!!! You will NOT be denied because their staff is “gone for the day”.

  I was not going to write a review but I truly have never dealt with a worse experience. This order was scheduled far in advance for pick up on Wednesday. First, the order was due for pickup from 4-5 pm. They did not start shopping my order until at least 2:30 pm. A lot of the food and items were out of stock even thought they all show available on the app and online. I told the person picking my stuff I wanted to cancel. He did not confirm this and my order kept getting picked so I was okay with atleast getting some of my items. It took my over an hour and a half to get to the Jewel because the bridge was up and traffic had nowhere to go. My commute was an additional 30 minutes to get to Jewel. It said my order was ready and I waited in the order pick up area for 20 minutes. Beyond frustrated I went upstairs and they were so confused and said that they had cancelled the order, even though he was picking my order for the last hour (I got notifications on phone). The manager was even confused and he was the only helpful part and did give me a gift card. I have been a Jewel customer since I was young and it is my favorite store. This has made me question ever going back. It took me an additional 35 minutes to get home because of cubs traffic I probably wasted over $20 in gas. I finally got home and relaxed and at 8:04 pm I received a call from Jewel. They left a voicemail asking if I was on my way to pick up my order and that they were going to close at 9:00pm. The incompetence of this store is beyond me. It literally just completely ruined my whole day not once, but twice. I cannot believe the communication of this store and that they still called me after the ordeal I was put through. I will never shop at this store again. I also cannot get any of the deals I had when I ordered earlier this week, so this was also beyond frustrating.

  I order delivery and I am in the south loop but this store refuses to let my delivery orders transfer to a closer store to me and all my dairy arrives warm and all my frozen food arrives thawed. Update to business response: I have already called the delivery phone number. They put me on hold for 30 minutes while I can hear the support person breathing on the other line just doing nothing. She finally decides to tell me the 'system decides what store services your order and there is nothing anyone, including the local store, can do'. I there are plenth of Jewels within 2 miles of me. I just don't understand why I keep being assigned the Southport location when it is 7 miles away from me and no driver wants drive from Wrigleyville to the south loop.
