  so overpriced and also very dangerous outside for single women. there is an “open air market” if you know what i mean right outside and i constantly am seeing shady dangerous things happen, and then they allow those people to go loiter inside, and they frequently steal. if you take one look outside this Jewel Osco you’ll know what and who i mean. because of the situation outside of it, the inside always smells like a mix of dangerous bodily fluids, biohazards, body odor, and smoke/burning plastic. these people guard the exits and entrances and completely block people from entering just from having conversations and WILL get hostile. employees watch this happen and male employees watch girls who are alone get harassed and bullied by those people .. they do nothing about it and will just ikgeracg with those citizens like they’re normal people. employees are very rude seems like they hire just anyone, people constantly shoplifting & nothing is done about it (🤷🏼‍♀️but who cares if someone’s taking food— not me) just avoid at all costs. so overpriced unless you shop the flyers. no reason to go here when TJs, Aldi, and Whole Foods are around the corner & not surrounded by those types of people.. and surprisingly much cheaper, yes even whole foods. if you need a normal grocery shop Mariano’s is a close walk. never go here.

  Receipt for my purchase didn’t print. I need the receipt for the IRS. After 15 minutes of waiting, I was told to come back the next day when a manager was on staff. No one knows how to reprint a receipt? I was not even told when the manager would be there. I will go around the corner to Trader Joe ‘s next time.

  Groceries are overpriced and this store is understaffed. I was trying to just check out 3 items on the self checkout that it was sensitive and required store assistance, blocking my order twice. Took time for someone to show up and then I gave up waiting the second time.

  Was staying a few blocks away at a hotel with kitchen. Jewel osco had all i needed with actually very surprising low prices on very good cuts of steak. Good vegetable section and higher quality products

  Please consider hiring a new baker. I used 350 points on 4/24 around 9:21 PM to purchase a Torte cake, but the only option available was strawberry—which was brown colored. Chose brownies instead. They weren’t properly cut and completely fell apart, so I threw them away. The quality felt careless, like no pride was taken in how the food was prepared or presented. Also, this store never seems to stock Lucerne Belgian Chocolate coffee creamer, and during the holidays, items like 7UP Shirley Temple weren’t available until January 2026, which defeats the purpose of seasonal products. I regularly shop at other locations, including the one on Des Plaines and several in the western suburbs, and this location feels noticeably disorganized in comparison. Even basic professionalism seems lacking. Overall, I only shop here if I had no other option.
