  This is the second Jewel store I've gone into in 6 days where dogs (NOT service amimals) were allowed in the stores. Look, you're even allowed to dangle your dog directly over the fresh produce! I am a dog lover, but this is unsanitary and unacceptable for grocery stores. And it's the SECOND JEWEL LOCATION IN 6 DAYS where I've wandered in and dogs among the food is a thing. And at bothe locations there were plenty of employees who noticed and ignored it. I'm guessing they're just used to it by now?

  Was shopping here with my elderly mother to get her groceries for the week and we were told that customers are not allowed to use the restrooms. My mother ended up not making it to a bathroom in time thanks to the unfriendly, unsupportive staff at "Customer Service". We will be shopping elsewhere from now on.

  This has to be one of the consistently worst grocery stores ever. Just like a toxic relationship, it’s enough to leave you wondering if you’re the problem for occasionally going back. The customer service is so bad, you can tell the workers are just dead inside and rude. I was there this morning and the register person (older woman, name starting with an A) was annoyed at everyone. Then the person who was supposed to be running the customer service and opening up the self-checkout area was so rude to a guy that was trying to return something despite him being nice. The store policies are insane. The guy I just mentioned was trying to return strawberries he just paid for that was advertised at a lower rate than it was (he didn’t notice the price not going down until after he paid). Apparently you can’t return anything until 7am even though the store is staffed for…idk just to mess with you apparently. Again, the place was staffed. Theres no sensible reason why a refund couldn’t have been processed other than “we made up a rule that has no value to the store or customer”. Then there’s the selection of produce and meat. The prices are literally higher than Whole Foods and Mariano’s and yet somehow a third to half of the meat is always expired while on the shelves. Lastly, theres the deceptive pricing. You can have an account with Jewel but you won’t actually get the deals. To get the deals, you’ll have to take extra steps to download a third-party app, give them your data by creating an account, then individually scan the exact item. Not going to take all of those nonsensical steps to get a pint of strawberries? Yeah, Jewel knows this. Apparently the only value-add to this is to allow them to advertise lower prices while not delivering them to you because, again, you’re not going to go through all of those extra steps. Please, go anywhere else. There’s a smaller grocery store across the street that’s local, has better prices, higher quality produce, better customer service, and you don’t have to download an app with a third party to get any deals.
