  A great selection of food and variety. I do think the pricing can be hit or miss along with the deals but overall it's easy to find things and the friendly staff always help. Also their fruit bowls are incredible and always taste fresh.

  Boy, Jewel is really trying to dump all of their Taylor Farms products on us. The current cyclospora outbreak (explosive diarrhea cases) have been traced back to Taylor Farms. Many of the Taylor Farms items I saw sitting on the shelves today have actually been RECALLED, but instead of removing the recalled contaminated items from the shelves, Jewel is just selling them at a reduced price. Also, many of these items were expired. I only use the pharmacy. I stopped buying food at Jewel years ago because EVERY SINGLE LOCATION is notorious for selling expired goods. If you look at the reviews for ANY Jewel store on the north side of Chicago and scroll back through years of reviews you will find that for years customers have been posting pictures of expired/rotting meat they were sold, as well as rotting/moldy produce. And following every one of those you will find someone from Jewel saying, "Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we will fix it, blah blah blah." But obviously they never do, because customer photos of expired, rotting moldy foods continue to pop up in the reviews month after month, year after year after year after year. I spent a chunk of time today scouring through reviews of Jewel stores, and this is a very consistent problem at multiple store locations happening very regularly over a period of years, all.tbe stores. Just a nonstop problem.

  Store empty-handed because the shelves aren’t stocked or it’s impossible to check out today. There was one check lane open and 10 people in line. No self check out lanes were open. I asked several people to open another register. One person said he couldn’t the rest said they were packing online orders. Great re design same jewel.

  I hate to be THAT person because I love dogs. I just don't want people getting their pet's fur, dander or anything else in my fresh produce. I guess buy only tightly sealed/packaged goods from Jewel stores. Seriously, I DO love dogs. It's just... common sense though, people.

  This store is ALWAYS selling rotting produce, last week the cucumbers were squishy like sponges, same problem today as well as all of the bell peppers. The apples will literally be fermenting on the shelf, plagued by fruit flies, and they're still trying to sell them. Last month I bought salad dressing here that was expired by three entire months. The store is also trashed, there are always boxes and carts full of stock everywhere (even before the remodel) and it makes the store largely inaccessible to customers using mobility aids like wheelchairs. It's not ADA compliant if the aisles are littered with boxes and palates to the point of blocking access even to able-bodied people.
