  I used to shop here weekly and now do not go to this location due to their new "security guard." He is in plain clothes (one day was wearing a LIFEGUARD jacket...??), no jewel osco insignia whatsoever, no name tag, and bothering people who are going about their business. I understand establishments sometimes need security but they should be identified properly and should be FRIENDLY, not trying to escalate people.

  I’m a jewel shopper for years! I won’t ever comeback here to this store. I won’t recommend it to no one, employees No one smile here. Sounds they are in jail or going to be punished soon? Welcome to Chicago business. Disappointed experience. America it’s good. But people here make it worse.

  I love shopping at Jewel, and I visit many of your locations. This store is actually the closest one to my house. Unfortunately, I've had two uncomfortable experiences with the same older employee in the meat department. The first time, I went to purchase crab legs that were on sale using a valid rain check. He immediately questioned us, asking, "Are you guys using the rain check? You can't use the rain check at this location." We then spoke with customer service at the front of the store, and they confirmed that the rain check was valid and could be used. Even after that, his attitude remained unpleasant. He also told us that the crab had been sitting there for a long time and could cause food poisoning, which made me feel very uncomfortable. It left me wondering why he would say something like that to a customer. Today, my boyfriend and I returned to buy steak that was advertised on sale. The same employee kept staring at us, and we noticed him removing the sale steaks from the display while we were walking toward the meat section. We were watching us, and follow us the whole time, so wierd. When we asked about them, he told us they were sold out, even though we had just seen him taking them away, holding it all over his hand. The interaction felt very strange and disappointing. I don't want to assume his intentions, but after having two similar experiences with the same employee, I no longer feel comfortable shopping in the meat department at this location anymore. I hope management will look into this situation and provide additional customer service training if needed. I enjoy shopping at Jewel and would like every visit to be as welcoming and positive as my experiences in the rest of the store.

  A lot of homeless people in front, parking area crowded close to store.access by bus. Area not that got at evening. But store is open late, have good deli.
