My first experience at Jerk Society was a great one, and I can honestly say it won’t be my last! The jerk catfish dinner was really good! The catfish was seasoned well, and I appreciated that the jerk flavor was mild. My mom can’t have a lot of spicy food, so this was perfect for her! The jerk chicken roll was absolutely delicious! Definitely a must-try! The customer service was 10/10! You can appreciate when a business not only serves good food but also provides excellent customer service. I love supporting Black-owned, family-owned businesses that take pride in what they do. Overall, my first visit was a great experience, and I’m looking forward to going back and trying more from the menu! 📣 Go check out Jerk Society! Support this Black-owned, family-operated business. Great food, excellent customer service, and a welcoming experience—you won’t be disappointed! Your girl Sunshine From Let’s Do It Crew Tours

Hello my name is Chef E from Jamaican Me Hungry, as a chef I was very impressed with your oxtail Alfredo however the oxtail was very small and not much for the price I paid but besides that my meal was great, service was great and your environment is inviting. I plan to visit again 😉👍🏾

I ordered for pick up, 1st time trying this restaurant, got there and the guy working the window saw me but didnt greet me or say anything for awhile... I waited and when he finally say something my order was just sitting there ready to go... I ordered a half mixed jerk chicken dinner sides were Mac n cheese and cabbage.... the dinner was so delicious chicken had good flavor, hot fresh and juicy.... cabbage was the star of the show and Mac was good also.... but I also ordered 2 extra sides.... yams and plantains.... worst 2 sides I've ever had they went straight to the garbage yams were thick and had to taste...they looked all syrupie like they were gonna be the bomb but sadly disappointed and the plantains were so dark and horrible tasting.... those 2 sides I will never order again.... but the dinner was enjoyable....

I am so happy we have another minority owned business in our community that demonstrates a commitment to high levels of customer service and food quality excellence! I came in right before lunch hour and after the young man at the register ended up taking me through their menu, I ended up getting the jerk tacos (no pic of them as the 3 of them did not even make it home🙃🫣) for a quick bite before returning to work + their jerk chicken for later. Both dishes were impeccable! Jerk chicken was moist not dry along with the cabbage, plantains, and peas & rice…it was all bursting 💥 with nothing but authentic Jamaican flavor and the servings were enough for me to get more than 1 serving for myself!! 😋 As someone who has traveled to Jamaica/the Caribbean many times, friends from Jamaican/Caribbean, can cook myself & considers myself a foodie, if you know then you know….! 😉🇯🇲 For those of you who have posted things about wait times, I posit, if you want & have an appreciation for delicious, fresh food cooked with love/to order [vs fast food that you can get at any of the basic unhealthy fry it up or chain options on any corner in the neighborhood] then either call ahead (as they will let you know how long it will take before you pick it up) or just try being patient and prepared to wait a bit, just as you would in any dine-in eating establishment. Rest assured, the food is/will be WELL worth the wait and it will be less time than you standing up cooking in the kitchen [but with the same freshness and love poured into it]! So, if you are looking for good quality Jamaican food do not hesitate to give them a try. I know after my first experience, I will DEFINITELY be back and likely a repeat customer….next up on my list is their oxtail pasta and brown stew chicken which I’ve heard nothing but great things about! Welcome to the community Jerk Society…wishing you continued success & prosperity…please maintain the excellence in what you do/are doing and I am certain you will become a staple on the S. Side and beyond! 🤎🙏🏾👏🏾 *Please note, I was not paid to post this or received anything to do so…just believe in promoting good businesses and showing my appreciation for good food & good people bringing goodness/quality to the communities that need it the most!*

First time stopping in. Y'all know this was Nitas gumbo spot so I'm quite familiar with the area. Surprisingly, finally there are some new options with Jerk Society, CoCos and believe it or not another Jerk option with Jerk Yard. I chose JS because I just saw the Black Foodies post on IG. I ordered 1/2 white dinner. Dinner orders are served with rice and peas plus your choice of two sides. I opted for the mac and cabbage. Late Saturday afternoon, so a 20 min wait. The portions were plentiful. Everything tasted fresh. I do agree with one other review my chicken didn't quite have the spice level I'm used to but it was flavorful. Service was quick and friendly.
