It took me a while to go in here because I was fooled by the somewhat corporate-looking signage. I finally went in today and I'm so glad I did, because my meal was DELICIOUS. Ingredients were super fresh, and they *make their own smoked salmon* omg. I've been looking for a lunch place near me where I could find healthy, fresh, and flavorful food. I will definitely be coming back here! What a great addition to the neighborhood.
Best breakfast that I had in awhile 👍😍 I got cottage cheese pancakes and it’s so good. Sesame latte - first time trying it, surprisingly, tasted great. Service and food quality is top notch.
Wow this place is incredible! I just finished my to go order and couldn’t wait to give a review. I felt like i was in a Scandinavia cafe the food was so fresh and delicious and i can’t not believe how reasonably priced! The interiors of the cafe are so cool and all custom made sculptures. Wow way to go guys, you’re killing it!

Such a bright, clean, and spacious café.
The sunlight makes the whole place feel especially cheerful, and the little metal flower decorations inside are so cute.
They serve both food and drinks, the air conditioning is strong, and the tables are large enough to spread everything out comfortably. Overall, it is a really pleasant place to sit for a while.
Quite a few people were here for coffee chats or working on their laptops.
Menu at the end.
👉 Iced Hayday Banana Oat Latte ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ($6)
Pretty good once you mix it thoroughly.
The syrup contains banana and oat flavors, then they add milk and espresso. Somehow, it tastes like someone crushed digestive biscuits directly into a cup of coffee.
The banana and oat flavors are both quite rich and noticeable. It was slightly sweeter than I usually prefer, but still genuinely enjoyable.
With less syrup, this would probably be perfect.

While we haven’t had the chance to dine at Heyday just yet, I still wanted to take a moment to share what wonderful people the owners are. After having the opportunity to meet them and learn more about their vision, it’s clear how much heart and intention they’ve poured into creating a beautifully curated, welcoming space centered around quality food at an approachable price point. I especially love the unique ways they’ve woven pieces of their own culture into the experience.
We can’t wait to make it to Heyday ourselves one day. it has officially become one more great reason for us to plan a visit to the Chicago area!
