  This place is a hidden gem. I’ve been coming here for lunch and have converted some of my coworkers into regulars as well. The combination plate with white and red sauce is my standard order and is delicious. The shop itself is pretty small and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anybody dining in, just waiting for their take out order.

  Combo Over Rice Platter was delicious! White sauce was good but the green sauce is terrific if you like spice

  Visiting Halaleez was something my girlfriend and I had been looking forward to after a long day in Chicago. We got there and were able to order the chicken over rice with white sauce and fries. After waiting about 15 minutes, the manager comes to us letting us first know that they have run out of rice at 10:30pm, then after about another 10 minutes they then come to tell us that they have run out of white sauce. So now after waiting for 25 minutes, we receive our food and it’s loaded fries (a non-equivalent option) without any toppings besides the chicken. We requested veggies and were given that at the end but to run out of rice and sauce so early when the store doesnt close until 2 am was very underwhelming. We also paid A LOT more than what we got in our order. Also we got two plates and the orders from the people after us got their order first... without any alteration to their order, of course! What made it most frustrating was the fact that there was still white extra white sauce available for those who ordered after us, but when our order was finally made, there was none left for us. PLEASE manage the inventory properly!!! PLEASE! If not, just manage your inventory better, so that other patrons don’t have to receive that same experience.
