  Cecilia was the best waitress ensuring we knew what everything was on the menu, giving us some insight into what was the popular menu items, asking us for dessert or a drink, making sure our food tasted good and ensuring if there is anything we might need to make our food better! Great Great service and I would recommend Cecilia to be a training server because if I went to any place and got served like this I would return with happiness. It was our first time in Chicago and trying the deep dish and Cecilia was so knowledgeable on the menu items explaining to us the history and some local information behind the name and pizza! Great Service I will highly recommend !

  Giordano’s is one of the well-known places to try authentic Chicago-style deep dish pizza. Their pizza is very different from regular pizza because it is much thicker and filled with a large amount of cheese, rich tomato sauce, and different toppings. The crust is deep and buttery, making the pizza feel more like a full meal than a simple slice of pizza. The cheese is one of the most noticeable parts of the pizza. Giordano’s uses a generous amount, which gives the pizza a rich and heavy texture that many visitors to Chicago enjoy trying for the first time. The restaurant also offers salads, pasta, sandwiches, and thin crust pizza for people looking for different options. If you are visiting Chicago or want to experience a classic Chicago-style deep dish pizza, Giordano’s is a good place to try something different from traditional pizza styles.

  This is my first time dining at Giordano’s. We had a reservation for 6:30pm. We were seated promptly unfortunately the table was directly in the path of the AC vent so we asked to be moved to a different table. The hostess kindly moved us to another table to our liking. Once seated we waited a few minutes until our waiter, Max, greeted us with an attitude. The attitude of “I don’t want to be bothered and don’t want to be here.” We told him we’d like to order a family size Caesar Salad then he left without asking us if we wanted anything to drink. After about 10 minutes, the waiter returned with the salad and six glasses of water. He tossed the salad bowl on a stand and carelessly placed each glass the table spilling some of the water. He then walked away without asking if our party would like anything additionally to drink besides water. The salad was good with just the right amount of dressing. We then place our order, a deep dish pizza and some calamari. After few minutes later, he brought out the calamari to the table. The calamari was good. The pizza arrived and we dug in. The pizza was very good and flavorful. Max finally return to the table to refill our glasses, doing so he reaches over people to serve the water and spilling some, instead of serving from the side of each guest. After we finished our meal, we asked for the check. Max returns with a payment machine and rudely tosses the machine on the table. I reviewed the bill and saw a 3% surcharge was added for “increase costs”, I asked him what was this about and he says “that’s a charge that’s added”. I asked him to explain and he just said “that’s the way it is.” And that “it was mandatory.” I told him it was not mandatory by any means and asked to remove the charge. He said he’d check. After a few minutes passed, he returned and the “fee” was removed. I would have given Giordano’s a 4 star overall but our waiter, Max, made the experience unpleasant with his rudeness, lack of professionalism, disinterested attitude, and lack of caring. Service with this waiter is 1 star. If one loses passion to treat clients in the best possible way then one should not be in the hospitality business.

  I stopped by for a quick lunch and was wowed by how fast the order came out—just 40 minutes after ordering a classic deep‑dish. The crust was buttery and slightly crisp, while the pepperoni stayed perfectly oozing; I even complimented the staff on the generous amount of cheese. The waiter kept a cheerful vibe, checking in with us every few minutes and refilling our drinks before we even asked. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town.
