- JJJacob4 days ago5.0Ghost donkey is a gem, hidden in an unassuming 2nd floor corner spot. After having your ID checked outside by one of the nicest/ funniest security guards, you open a door to be hit with upbeat Latin Music that seems to make your body dance involuntarily, even if you don’t know the songs, The space is warm, enticing, welcoming with an array of table & seating options as well as a double-sided central bar. It doesn’t have tv, generally- World Cup being the exception, which only enhances the experience. No distractions, just great vibes, great food and great drinks with your friends/ family. It is perfect for happy hours with some of the best pricing in River North, for not just for the hours of their happy hour but quality of food and drinks. Birthdays and celebrations here, really make someone feel special. I recommend this place to anyone visiting Chicago, or working downtown or in the area. PS - they have awesome bubble guns and the manager, she is so fun having the orb bar lights get thrown to swing back and forth. 200/10 would recommend!
