From the moment we arrived, the staff gave us a warm welcome and quickly seated us. They were friendly, attentive, and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu before taking our order. Our breakfasts arrived promptly, and they were absolutely delicious. I ordered the small breakfast, which was surprisingly filling and more than enough for a satisfying meal. The pub has a fantastic atmosphere, with charming British-themed décor, from traditional pub details to fun touches like the London Underground sign leading to the restrooms. We enjoyed our first visit so much that we returned the very next morning for breakfast again. If you're looking for an authentic taste of Britain while in Chicago, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

I recently was taken out as a celebration for the end of my contract for my job so my coworkers paid for me. I had no idea my coworkers didnt tip. The server, Jonny, yelled and called us out while we were about a city block away after we had already paid and he was aware of the payment. I couldn't hear him so I ran all the way back and he said we "skimpped out" on him, all while there were people gathered outside. So I asked if the card payment didnt go through, I was ready to pay in the event my coworker's card was declined. He said the payment went through but there was no tip and asked if he did anything wrong. I dont know if he was trying to publicly humiliate us as a group even though it was only one person who paid but that was extremely unprofessional as he could've professionally approached us while he saw our payment at the bar and asked for feedback personally or ask why no tip was recieved. Why yell while there is a gathered crowd outside the bar? Either way, I will go back and give him a proper tip for his service. But Elephant and Castle, you cant let your employees' emotions get the best of them and try to publicly humiliate the customers like that, whether intentional or not. Especially while there is a world cup game going on and people are grouped up outside the establishment.
