It’s a culinary crime reenactment.
A team of brave, entry-level “Bagel Technicians” whose entire job description is:
Open freezer.
Remove sad, pre-entombed breakfast sandwich.
Introduce it to The Microwave: Airport Edition™.
Hand it to you like they just birthed it.
These kids deserve a James Beard Award for Acting. They’re not cooks — they’re archaeologists, unearthing breakfast from 2019.
There is no kitchen. There’s a counter, a toaster oven from 2003, and a microwave that sounds like a jet engine with asthma. I watched my “Farmhouse” sandwich go from cryogenic storage to “artisanal” in 90 seconds. The farm was clearly in Antarctica. The only thing fresh in this place is the audacity.
The food…it’s fine? Like, if you’re starving and your taste buds are on airplane mode, it works. The bagel has the texture of a stress ball. The egg is a yellow frisbee of regret. The bacon is so thin it has to file as emotional support meat. It’s good the way gas station sushi is “good” — technically edible, spiritually questionable.
$16.87 for a bacon, egg, and cheese + coffee. SIXTEEN EIGHTY-SEVEN. For a sandwich that was made in a factory, frozen, shipped, and then mildly bullied by heat. That’s not a price, that’s a ransom note. I paid more for this than my Spirit Airlines ticket, and at least Spirit was honest about the disrespect!
At the normal locations, $16 gets you 2 sandwiches, a dozen bagels, and the baker’s life story. Here, $16 gets you a lukewarm circle of sadness and the employee’s silent apology.
The workers are saints. They know. They know. They hand you the bag with the eyes of someone who watched you get mugged and couldn’t stop it. I tipped out of guilt. Guilt for them, guilt for me, guilt for capitalism.
This isn’t a bagel shop. It’s a museum exhibit titled “Late Stage Capitalism: Breakfast Edition.” The food is a 5/10 that costs 11/10. If you’re trapped past security and your blood sugar is dropping faster than a Frontier flight, fine, eat it. Just know you’re not paying for food. You’re paying the airport’s rent.
2/5 stars. One star for the bagel existing, one star for the kid who called me “boss” while committing this robbery.
Would I buy again? Yes. Would I enjoy it? No. Would I tell my therapist about it? Absolutely.

I love Einstein Bagels! 🥯 The variety of bagels and sandwiches 🥪 are amazing. My favorite is the farmhouse breakfast sandwich! The new pepperoni 🍕 Chicken 🍗🐔 sandwich is delicious and when you need a sweet treat the cookies are too tier! Especially the chocolate chip!

I’ve ordered the Garden Avocado bagel from Einstein Bagels many times before at other locations and it has always been great. However, this time the sandwich was not what I expected. Instead of the usual garden-style ingredients, it only had egg and avocado inside and nothing else. It was disappointing because this item normally comes with more ingredients and flavor. I’m not sure if it was a mistake, but it definitely wasn’t consistent with what I’ve received at other locations before..

I pretty certain they didn’t warm up any of the ingredients on breakfast sandwich. Cold eggs, cold ham and bacon, cold cheese

Great service. Long line waiting for them to open at 5am, and the woman opened the gate with a smile and a joke. Very polite guy took my order. The food is airport food — passable, not memorable. Would return for the service!
