  I’ve been to this City Winery multiple times, even prior to moving to Chicago, and it is always a wonderful experience! The location is prime, the staff are spectacular, and the wine is consistently a crowd pleaser. I’d like to specifically mention Enzel and JT, who have been so lovely and accommodating during our visits — they deserve all the love and flowers in Chicago!

  The City Winery Riverwalk is 100% vibes based. The drinks are amazing and food is pretty good considering all they need are the views, vibes, and drinks to succeed. We had rented a boat from a nearby dock and came here to overpay for lunch after. Totally worth it and will come back to overpay for lunch again!

  Prices are steep but the location and view are the reasons to come here. First come first served with seating, and you order at the bar

  I stopped here last evening for a couple of glasses of wine and to enjoy the view and people-watching. It was a very nice evening, but what REALLY stood out to me was the bartenders who were working there. I was able to get their names so that I could write this review: J.T., Enzo, and Blanco. They were all EXTREMELY friendly and anxious-to-please! I have to add: these guys have to be some of the hardest-working bartenders that I have seen in a long time!!!!! Thanks so much for the excellent and friendly service - - I’ll tell my friends!!!!!

  Disappointing experience on a Sunday afternoon at 4pm. Great setting. What a joke of a “restaurant”!! The employees clearly don’t care— upon checking in, it seems we interrupted the host day dreaming. When we asked how long for a table for two we were told help yourselves to a high top and order at the bar. Fine— can do. Sat down, no menus anywhere. Went looking for a menu as there were tables with people at them who had menus. None to be found. When I asked the back to daydreaming host replied, “there’s a menu on the bar.” I said “ok…but we don’t want to stand in line holding people up when reviewing a menu. You don’t have one we can sit at the table and review?” He lazily replied “there’s none by the bar?” I replied “no”. And he looked confused. I asked could he find one?? He sighed and said “ok. Fine.” Really, dude?? Once we had a menu to peruse we decided on a few things. Went to the bar to order… the one person working the register was leaned over on her phone scrolling. With a patio full of people… daydreaming and scrolling on your phone. Acting put out and annoyed for being interrupted not working. They were out of 2 of the 3 items we wanted (they had the alcohol). Clearly they do not care about my experience. It’s too bad. Great setting but luckily Tiny Tap is close by as is Chicago Brewhouse and O’briens. All of which are far superior service and food is just as good. Save yourself time and frustration. Miss this place.
