  Everyone here is working very hard during the lunch rush, there is no doubt; however, the system that the workers are evidently being forced to use to distribute mobile orders is baffling and inefficient. The shelves designated and designed to hold mobile orders are not being used. Rather, heaps of orders are piled up behind the counter and customers have to either wait until a harried worker asks them their name and digs out their order individually, or interrupt an already busy worker to look for their order in the pile. This is an utterly inefficient and frustrating non-system for everyone involved and needs to be remedied by Chipotle ASAP.

  I am a frequent patron and big fan of this Chipotle that despite my change in commute I still find myself going out of my way to visit this location. The workers are friendly, quick, and welcoming. However, there was an incident that happened this past week that I couldn’t shake off and I felt inclined to write about. I walked into the store while it was relatively empty besides a couple behind me as I approached the counter. I saw less than a few portions left of steak, and since i caught the store while they weren’t super busy I thought I’d ask the employee on the line if it was possible for me to wait for fresher steak. She then went and politely asked the cook for steak so she could give me a specific waiting time. He responds by slamming his hands on the counter and shouts something unintelligible at her. She says something like “the customer was wondering” and he shakes his head and ignores her then goes back to whatever he was doing before. I was taken aback just as the people behind me were. The employee then comes back and apologizes for his outburst! An outburst that shouldn’t have taken place to begin with. Not only did I feel bad for this employee, I felt disrespected myself because he was inadvertently disrespecting me since it was my question. It’s not like im going to be boycotting this Chipotle because of that but it really left a bad taste in my mouth. Hostility is always a no go in any workplace but especially not in front of patrons. I understand that things can get hectic and complicated, but there was no need for him to get short with someone who is consistently polite to me every time I visit just because they asked a question. That’s all.

  i walked in to place an order and was the only person in line i was greeted by a young african american girl with glasses and she was rushing me the entire time i couldn’t even finish my sentences, i had to tell her slow down that ill get to the other ingredients in a second. i was checked out by assuming the manager who was more respectful but they need to understand that not every customer appreciates being rushed and employees need more control of their attitudes and emotions
