About

Dessert ShopBakery
Born in Astoria, Queens in July 2017, Chip City began as a hobby between two childhood friends as they sought to recreate the simple taste of their childhood. What began as a fun challenge to see who could create the best cookie turned into the Chip City we know and love today.

Amazing quality and quantity! I discovered them on TooGoodToGo and will be back! The baklava cookie is to die for! Second runner up is the Dubai chocolate!

I ordered the thin S’mores and it was delicious. Crispy edges, chewy center, quality chocolate chips, and the marshmallow still had a fluffy texture. I regret not getting more when the cashier asked lol.

I was unsure of how the cookies were at this establishment as I usually go to crumble cookie. However I spoke to someone named Alana who although seemed to be alone while it was particularly busy gave me some great recommendations. I left with a chocolate chip cookie and a cookie butter and they were both delicious will have to come back soon!

Be aware if you have a peanut allergy. My husband stopped in for the first time with our 4 year old daughter last night and asked if there were any nuts in things/trace amounts/cross contamination and they said there wouldn’t be an issue. We ask because our daughter has a peanut allergy. We got home, and my 4 year was eating a small amount of the confetti cookie & the cookies and cream ice cream. She stopped eating it and told us it was making her throat hurt and she started coughing profusely. Her lips then started swelling up. THANK GOD, her throat didn’t close up, but she soon after complained of severe stomach pain and vomited multiple times. This was insanely scary as her cookie had no nut in it but was clearly cross contaminated with nut. We did inform the store. I really hope going forward they make more of an effort to disclose this information and be more careful because this could be a matter of life and death for someone. We unfortunately bought 4 different ice creams and 4 different cookies. Safe to say we won’t be returning..
