  This location definitely profile people of color! Yesterday, after parking and walking up, I notice the security guard standing out front just relaxing when he should be inside watching right! As soon as we (only two of us not a group) walk in, he comes in! We went in real quick for a bottle a whiskey, he watches us, we go to the counter to pay, he's standing right at the front! When walking out, he acts like he's putting a cart up and says have a "good day fellas"! Once back in the car, we realize he's back to standing outside relaxing again, mind you it's plenty of other people in there shopping as well still and he was the only security guard! Shouldn't he still be inside keeping an eye on things? So I just had to drive past him and ask him "you just had to watch us" because it was so obvious and he boldly replies "hell yeah" with a big smirk on his face! It's really sad honestly! I definitely won't come back to this location! I'm sure they won't care about my measly dollars anyway!

  My husband and I are visiting my Sister-n-law and her family from out of town. My husband & our brother-n-law went to this establishment to purchase liquor. Upon walking into the store the Hispanic security guard picked them to follow. He followed them through the entire store until they made their purchase and even followed them out the door. My Brother-n-law asked him "so you just had to follow us around?" They said security laughed and said "yes of course". We spoke with a manager & he really could have cared less about what our husbands experienced based on his tone & reaction. Upon reading other reviews it seems this is just a racist location. We will not spend another dime of our hard earned money when we visit Chicago anymore. I suggest no one black or anyone against racism should spend their hard earned money at this location either. I guess black people are the only race that fits their description as being thieves. I will be taking this issue up the ladder and to social media.

  The security guard at Binnys only followed the black customers inside the store! When I questioned you just had to follow us, he said hell yeah! Disgusting and unprofessional behavior and the manager didn't seem to care when I called and explained to him what happened! Will not be shopping here again!!!

  Stopped by Binny's Lakeview earlier and honestly such a solid spot. Picked up a six pack of local IPA and a nice bottle of pinot noir for dinner later. The shelves are so well stocked it’s crazy they have everything from super hard to find craft stuff to all my go to everyday wines and beers. The space is bright clean and easy to walk around never felt cramped. Prices are fair and they even had cool glassware I’ve been looking for forever. Definitely my go to from now on.
